Respect is important. Respect your elders always and never talk back to them. Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged. Fear your God. For I am your Lord. A fierce and heartless nation that shows no respect for the old and no pity for the young. Its armies will be devoured their livestock and crops will perish, and they will be destroyed. Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the lord. Like I said before respect is IMPORTANT!!! Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs. A gracious woman gains respect, but ruthless men only gain wealth. For they turned away from following him. They have no respect for any of his ways. The highest officials of the city stood quietly, holding their tongues in respect. Respect is always good even for the highest officials. That means that a general has to have respect for the president, his soldiers under him and family members even. Always practice respect it can help you when you go to the white house.

“I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university.” ---Albert Einstein “Respect was invented to cover the empty place where love should be.” ---Leo Tolstoy “I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals. ---Winston Churchill “Respect yourself and others will respect you.” --- Confucius “And I can fight only for something that I love, love only what I respect, and respect only what I at least know.” --- Adolf Hitler “Love is honesty. Love is a mutual respect for one another.” --- Simone Elkeles “I never said, ‘I want to be alone.’ I only said ‘I want to be let alone!’ --- Greta Garbo “I cannot conceive of a greater loss than the loss of one’s self-respect.” --- Mahatma Gandhi “I can be hurt, she said, only by people I respect.” --- Mary Balogh “Always treat people as ends in themselves, never as means to an end.” ---

From past experiences I have learned the real meaning of respect. This word is more powerful than one can imagine. With respect comes unselfishness. When people respect others, they are treated equally. My mother and father always told me to be tactful in the way I treated others, so I would also be respected. It has worked in the past and will always hold true in the future. If someone respects another with proper judgment, people feel good inside which gives them a sense of integrity. When I give respect and witness how it makes others feel, I feel like more of a person. I feel proud. Honored.…

In her book “Respect”, Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot probes an important element of all human relationships and provides personal stories of professionals who approach their work respectfully and pragmatically. I have selected to analyze the chapter pertaining to healing, wherein a pediatrician’s clinical work is focused on respect for her patients, competent advocacy skills, and challenging the common approach of other pediatricians who primarily focus on technique and technology as opposed to the overall well-being of their patients.…

A great example of treating people with respect is bullying. Bullying happens all the time at all times of the day. People bully people in school, on the internet, and even at home. Sometimes the bully has the motive to hurt people and break someone else down because they are hurting on the inside themselves. The way they express themselves is the wrong way to do it, but it happens. I remember in school, they always said that a bully becomes a bully when they, themselves had been bullied. It is a serious matter these days because people hurt themselves for being bullied. That goes back to my point where I said that it could impact someone life.…

I really like this quote because it really talks about the way people shouldn’t act at all. Every time you say something be honest in your words. I don’t matter if you’re against something but be respectful and honest in your response. Once you make your response, stand by it and accept you are wrong if that is the situation. If not, still be respectful and don’t humiliate or offend the ones who were incorrect.…

Respect is one of the things they start teaching you in grade school.. treat others the way you’d like to be treated, and it’s expected that you’ll carry on with that throughout your life. Respect is not fear, it is admiration and understanding and accepting the rights of someone else who may have different beliefs. It was what keeps us polite and curtious towards one another. Respect should be earned, not demanded. You can’t disrespect someone and then expect them to have respect for you, respect is a two way street. I was raised with the notion to not take crap from anyone.…

Do on to others, as you would want them to do to you. I think this basic principle or saying is very powerful. If everybody abided by it the world would not have as many problems as it does now. For example people wouldn’t steal because they wouldn’t want their possessions to be stolen or robbed. People wouldn’t kill each other because they wouldn’t want to be killed themselves. This is a saying my parents always drilled into my head ever since I was a few years old and it stuck with me all these years. I try to respect everybody because I like to be respected back. This is the second trait I would like others to remember me…

What does respect mean to you? To me, respect means following the golden rule. It means treating others with kindness, love, generosity, and having polite manners. “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” That is the golden rule, is it not? Who wouldn’t want to be treated with kindness? Who wouldn’t want to be around someone with manners and cleanliness? Respect is being considerate to others and their feelings and beliefs. Respect isn’t just for others though, you need to respect yourself as well; take care of yourself and be presentable. If you would like to be treated with respect, you, first, need to learn to respect yourself and others. Once that is accomplished, others will learn to respect you.…

    The Importance Of Respect

Respect; a topic people tend to have many different opinions on in terms of its definition. Some people live with the Idea that, respect is as respect does. Why can’t respect be given by everyone from the beginning? In sports it is a motive to gain the respect of one’s opponent but in real life, people often live by that same motto. Is this wrong? Well the question first has to be asked, what really is respect? Every person admires the act of being respected but not everyone knows how to give it. Some people take incorrect measures such as intimidation factors to gain respect. Are these people really respected? Is the power of intimidation the same power that gains respect? By now it’s easy to understand that respect can be viewed in a number…

Example 1: A good starting point is to respect others because God said to. For example, we read in the Bible that husbands and wives are to respect their spouse and the wife must respect her husband Ephesians 5:33. Husbands, in the same way are considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect 1 Peter 3:7. The same principle applies to other relationships. Peter wrote that we should show respect to everyone. You can respect your spouse, child, parent, boss or others because of their position. Acknowledge that others have weaknesses. Everyone is imperfect. Be careful not to let their failures erode your respect for their good qualities. Look for things that you can respect. You can find something to respect in anybody if you look hard enough. Respect others as children of God. I work in a retirement community and everyday I interact with residents, families, doctors and nurse’s and my bosses the administrator and executive director and co-workers. I find that by showing respect to every person I come in contact with not only serves God’s plan for me, but my plan for my…

What is respect? “Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire her and treat her well.” I respect my education, family, and the world. Without it there would be no justice system or a civilized society. This means respect is what grants us to work in somewhat of a peaceful environment.…
