To show consideration for; treat courteously or kindly is respect. There are different kinds of respect. There is respect for your parents and those who are superior to you which is very important so that you learn obedience towards others. Respect is also shown in the way you talk to others. Talking rudely to others can turn them off.
Respect can show that you can be a good role model for others around you. Respect cannot be demanded, it is an asset that has to be earned. It includes taking someone’s feelings, thoughts, ideas, wishes and preferences into consideration. It also means taking all of these seriously and giving them worth and value.

From the very childhood, kids are taught to respect their parents, elders, and teachers. Kids find it hard to respect certain people. If a parent behaves generally positively with their child, it is normal for the child to reciprocate and show the same behavior. Although, if a parent scolds a child, the child wants to reciprocate his/her behavior but the parents defies their behavior and tells the child to respect them.
Nobody can earn respect by suppression, it is an action that cannot be forced upon others. Earning respect always counts on the way you act around others. If a person comes off as disobedient or arrogant, they will not be respected. If they come off as trustworthy and kind, they will be thought as mature and good.

Respect is the cement of our families and friendships. You being respectful will help you being depressed from loneliness. Respect can make or break a relationship in someone’s life. You would usually have different levels of respect for certain people.
You should respect your parents highly. You usually don’t curse around or at your parents out of respect. Disrespecting your parents can be the very cause of ruining the relationship. Respecting the rules parents lay out for you will make

Respect is a word that has a lot of depth to it no matter what way you use it. The word by definition is kinda hard to pin down concretely because it is so subjective and it can be used in many different ways with many different meanings based on the usage. It is a word that everybody wants a piece of no matter how big or small the piece they get is. All definitions aside, the respect that most people want is the respect that is earned by the showing of honorable actions or personality characteristics. Be it dedication and sacrifices for ones job or ones moral and ethical views and principles. These are examples of some traits a person can earn respect from normally.
