Statement of the problem
Domestic violence
What are the effects of domestic violence on the family, in the community of Rock Hall?
Reason for selection the area of research
Having been lived in the community of Rock Hall of over 16 years the researcher has realized that domestic violence has been prominent in the community. Domestic violence is defined as male or female being abused by spouse physical or non physical, domestic violence often result negativity for both victims and victimizers.
Victims who are mostly women often go into clinical depression and are plagued with suicidal thoughts. Although men are sometimes victims of domestic violence the percentage is minimal in the community of Rock Hall. Domestic violence sometimes ends fatal for victims for victimizers. This violence is confined to the homes where victimizers have their victims with little or no interferences.
Therefore it is against this background that the researcher has decided to look on the effects of domestic violence on the community of Rock Hall.

1. What is domestic violence?
2. What factor account for abuse of one’s spouse?
3. What are the effects of domestic violence on the members of the home?
4. How can victims of domestic violence get help?
5. What can be done to reduce the effects of domestic violence on the community?
