The article I will be critiquing is “A Kinematics Analysis Of Three Best 100 M Performances Ever, Maćkała Krzysztof¹, Antti Mero 2013”. The purpose of this article was to investigate the relevance of morphological characteristics and variability of running speed parameters (Stride length and stride frequency) for Usain Bolt’s three best 100m performances. The authors found that Usain bolts anthropometrics is an advantage for him alongside his increased stride length which helped him achieve the fastest average times throughout the three events they discussed in the article. Throughout this critique I will observe the positives and negatives of the article with the intention of creating my own future research question.
