“Veterans Day”
Veterans are my heros
Veterans are cool
They served and protect our world
Like no one else could
What would life be like without them
Probably bad and dangerous
I can't even imagine life without them
I thank god for veterans
They stay up day and night
Just to protect us
I don't even know how can i thank them for all what they done
Once again i thank god for making good people like veterans

Even though the first unknown soldier was laid to rest there on Armistice day on the year of 1921 this ceremony still continues. This is one way that shows just how important honoring our veterans…

A legal federal holiday on Veterans Day is commemorated in United States on November 11 on annual basis. In 1918, President Wilson established November 11 as a day to show honor and thankfulness for those who have risked their lives for our country. This day was significant because it was "The War to end all Wars,” World War I. This day was mainly set aside to show pride to our veterans of World War I. In 1938, Armistice Day, Veterans Day original name, became a legal holiday. In 1945 just after World War II ended, congress changed Armistice Day to Veterans Day. Since then, Veterans Day was created to show pride to American Veterans of every war, with the oddity of a few years in which it was celebrated every year on a Monday, November 11th.…

become a person of value”. ~Albert Einstein.Veterans are not just men and women who went to war. Veterans are the cause, we live in a safe country they are the cause, we walk on the sidewalk laughing and enjoying what life brings us. But the question in my mind is we laugh, play, and learn, what about Veterans they don’t laugh, they cry they don’t play they fight they don’t learn they die. We are not grateful we don’t respect the lives we live in every day. But that's not the point, we don’t even remember the reason we laugh, play and learn, if I were to tell you the number of people who died for us to have a bright future those numbers won’t matter the thoughts will. When I think about Veterans day I think about people who came back from the war and live a happy life, but I was wrong after learning the truth. Veterans day was the day we respect what we lose but even more we respect what we gained. That is what Veterans day means to me.…

We fight because we believe. Not that war is good, but that sometimes it is necessary. Our soldiers fight and die not for the glory of war, but for the prize of freedom and the ideologies that our country stands for. So great, were these ideologies, that men and women have bravely fought to defend them. OUR COUNTRY HAS FACED MANY TESTS OF COURAGE since its birth. Our answer to tests can be found in cemeteries from the islands of the Pacific to the coast of northern France. You can visit the hills in Arlington National Cemetery where markers record the names of more than 280,000 men and women. Each one was once or still is the most important person in someone's life. WITH EACH LOSS IN WAR, the world is changed forever for the family and friends left behind. IT IS UP TO US TO GIVE MEANING FOR THEIR SACRIFICE and de devoted to those principles for which these heroic citizens gave their lives. There is NO GREATER LOVE than to give your life for another. Our fallen comrades have demonstrated that love, and that my friends, is what Memorial Day is all about. FOR YOU TOMORROW, THEY SACRIFICED THEIR…

Memorial Day was first celebrated in the years following the Civil War and was officially labelled a federal holiday in 1971. Memorial Day is celebrated on the last Monday of May, and it is celebrated to honor our veterans and remember past wars and the brave men and women that serve in the military today. Many people, young and old, visit cemeteries or memorials to honor a lost family member, or a friend. On memorial day, everyone is affected, even if they don’t know a veteran. This memorial day I joined my Boy Scout troop in setting flags on the graves of fallen soldiers and veterans who have passed away. We were honoring our community and the veteran’s service. But we could not honor those who fell many years ago in the Civil War.…

The first thing about memorial day that I do is. Every year my family buys red poppies to honor those who have died. We buy them from the veterans and they are always wearing them to honor the people who fought with them. The reason that the red poppy is so symbolic is because of this poem “We cherish too, the Poppy red That grows on fields where valor led, It seems to signal to the skies That blood of heroes never dies.” This poem shows that the red of the poppy is like the blood of those who have died and that they will still always be with us.…
