The Salem witch trials is a STAIN on US history. The witch trials was one of the biggest acts of mass

hysteria in American history some would go as far as compare it to the holocaust.

The Salem witch trials was a series of court cases for acts of witchcraft. Supernatural foramina were part

of every day life. It took place in Massachusetts between February 1692 to May 1693. These cases usually

ended in executions. Twenty people were killed, 14 of which were women. The trials didn’t just happen in

one focused area but all through out Massachusetts. It was not till the 1560s that witchcraft was known as

just a myth.

The holocaust was the slaying of Jews over the belief that they were weak and not worthy of Germany. The

    However most of the victims executed during the witchcraft trials were innocent. It all began in 1692 when people began screaming and doing strange dances in the woods. As the settlers began to notice the strange events occurring. They decided that the punishment for witchcraft was death. The only way some lived was when they confessed and helped convicted others.
