In 1986 Oprah formed Harpo ( Oprah spelled backwards) Production Inc. She end up buying a state of the art production studio in Chicago and took ownership & Production of ‘the Oprah Winfrey Show”. That made her the third woman in history to own and produce a show that was her’s In addition being the first African American to own her entertainment production company.
