There could be several obstacles on the nation’s wellbeing due to immigrations. First of all, as the population of immigrants increase, there is a population imbalance problem. Increase in the population density in certain regions might cause excessive use of the resources of one nation that may lead to imbalance of natural resources. Also, the costs incurred in the provision of the resources such as education and health facilities to the immigrants, cause trouble on the nation that hosts immigrants in large numbers. This is because, the economic growth brought by immigration is avoided by the costs that the nation's government has to bear in providing the immigrants with the resources. Secondly, jobs available in the country and the nation's wealth are its property. So, allowing immigration implies the distribution of this property among the non-natives. In other words, immigration implies the distribution of a nation's wealth to those who do not have a right on it. Accordingly, immigration may harm the nation’s economic growth.…

Immigrants leave their home countries either because of a push or a pull factor. A push factor is a force in an immigrant’s home country that makes them want to leave. It is a situation in their country that they no longer want to be around. A pull factor is a driving force an immigrant faces that makes them want to come to the United States. There might be an idea or an opportunity they see available in this country that makes them want to come here. Whether it is push or pull, once an immigrant is here they usually provide a contribution to America. Immigrants have been recognized as a valuable asset, contributing much to the development of America. Immigrants bring with them their culture, religion, economic benefits, and an ideology that makes America unique. Immigration is a complex phenomenon that has played a major role in the growth of the population in the United States. It is described as the entrance and long –term stay across the national border without receiving appropriate legal documentation. Illegal immigration in the U.S. has soared to a massive scale. As many as 14 million families live in the United States illegally in which at least one is head of household. Illegal immigrants can be deemed as illegal by entering the country without authorization or inspection, staying beyond an authorized period or after legal entry, or by violating the terms of legal entry. Why do people immigrate? Many people immigrate for a variety of reasons. Some relocate by force or fear, escape form prejudices and persecutions, and while others are primarily voluntary. Granted the move may be a necessity, it can be somewhat of a traumatic and challenging experience. Immigrants steal from the federal government, destroy private property, and hurt hard working U.S. citizens. Immigration should have stipulations because it would alleviate certain economic issues, reduce the criminal activity, and benefit the nation health wise.…

Migration has contributed to the richness in diversity of cultures, ethnicities and races in developed countries. However, individuals who migrate experience multiple stresses that can impact their mental well-being, including the loss of cultural norms, religious customs, and social support systems, adjustment to a new culture and changes in identity and concept of self. “Migration is defined as any permanent change in residence. It involves the ‘detachment from the organization of actives at one place and the movement of the total round of activities to another” (Drachman, Kwon-Ahn, Paulino, 1996, p. 627).Many influences can determine migration and why people migrate to where they do. One important theory that contributes to this idea of migration is the push-pull theory. The push-pull theory says that some people move because they are pushed out of their former location, whereas others move because they have been pulled, or attracted, to another location. “Push factors are generally negative, such as poor economic conditions, lack of opportunity, discrimination, political oppression, and war. Whereas pull factors are generally positive, such as better economic opportunity, political freedom, and favorable reception toward immigrants” (Potocky-Tripodi, 2002, p. 13).…
