Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine, and the Murder of the President…
Patriot Day is the most important holiday of the year because on this day, not only do we remember the people that were killed in the worst terrorist attack on American soil, we also honor those who serve and have given their lives in the fight against terrorism. On September 11, 2001, four planes were hijacked; two of the planes hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center, one hit the Pentagon, and the other crashed in a field in Pennsylvania (https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/patriot-day/). Nearly 3,000 people were killed in this horrific attack. The attack was done by a radical Muslim organization called Al-Qaeda. This is a day we should never forget because this attack was not just against the people that were killed but against our entire country. There are many important holidays but this is the only one that has united all of America and captivated the entire nation as a whole. It is also a National Day of Service and Remembrance where people honor veterans, soldiers, or first responders by giving them donations, care packages and writing thank you letters for them (http://www.usa.gov/Citizen/Topics/History-American/September11.shtml). I can honestly say that everyone that I have ever talked to about what happened on 9/11 knows exactly where they were and what they were doing on this day. This holiday brought us together as a nation in a way that no other holiday does today.…
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.…
In 1956, the then Prime Minister of Malaysia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj led a delegation to London to hold talks with the British Government concerning independence for Malaya. The Malayan delegation, comprising of four representatives of the Malay Rulers and four Alliance representatives, convinced the British Government to set a date for independence: 31st August 1957. And so it came to pass that on the eve of 31 August 1957, at the Selangor Club Padang (now known as Dataran Merdeka or Independence Square), the Malayan flag was hoisted to replace the Union Jack.…

Today is February 19, 2012 and we are celebrating the President’s Day. This day was designated to honor all the presidents of the America. The most honored and respected two American presidents at that time were, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. George Washington’s birthday was on February 22, 1732 while Abraham Lincoln’s birthday was on February 12, 1809. Back then, Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays were celebrated separately, falling on their actual birthdays. However, the Congress soon passed a law saying that the holidays should all be celebrated on Mondays making it three-to-four-day weekends. Then the holiday was renamed to “President’s Day.” When people started to realize that it wasn’t very good for us to celebrate a day where it doesn’t fall on any of their birthdays, the conflict rose, and was brought back down. Many people were against the holiday’s renaming, since they believed not all the presidents should be respected or specially recognized. But, that too was brought down when most of the American states agreed on naming it “President’s Day.” Meantime, some people actually liked the fact that they could do longer sales with the attention of their viewers. Nowadays, we celebrate the wonderful holiday with delight. People bring out their grills, blast loud music, and have parties with families. This day is well-respected by many and there are numbers of sites you can visit to see and learn more about this specific holiday. Schools are out on this thankful holiday, and exaggerates the importance of these two wonderful leaders of America, George Washington and Abraham…

The Constitution was enacted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, and came into effect on 26 January 1950.[5] The date 26 January was chosen to commemorate the Purna Swaraj declaration of independence of 1930. With its adoption, the Union of India officially became the modern and contemporary Republic of India and it replaced theGovernment of India Act 1935 as the country's fundamental governing document. The Constitution declares India to be asovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, assuring its citizens of justice, equality, and liberty, and endeavours to promote fraternity among them.[6] The words "socialist" and "secular" were added to the definition in 1976 by constitutional amendment.[7] India celebrates the adoption of the constitution on 26 January each year as Republic Day.[8]…
