The newspaper article posted on the Sydney morning herald is mainly focused on TABCORP's financial position, its share prices and its revenue goals and targets. It has been clearly stated in the article that TABCORP share prices had fallen down by 5 percent and that they had shocked the market by decreasing their share prices by 5.1% to $3.14. It is also stated that the decrease in net profit from 2011 to 2012 is due to their license of their poker machines and casino businesses as they have already lost their poker license on Victoria. However, Tabcorp have also gotten an opportunity to start a new Keno Business in Victoria and Tabcorp Gaming Solutions in Victoria as well. TABCORP's new animated racing game, 'Trackside', also has good growth over time with its revenue rising by a huge leap of 65.6% to $82.3m due to its expansion in New South Wales and continued growth in Victoria. It is also stated that online growth has been high as customers have moved from using call centers resulting in the betting done via call centers to decrease by 6.8% as well. Finally TABCORP have stated that their final dividend of 11c per share will be put into effect and that their targeted dividend payout ratio is 80% of the net profit excluding the write off from the Victorian gaming goodwill.…

I am filing this complaint due to the dishonesty associated with West Laurel Water Association. West Laurel Water District asked ($4,500.00) forty-five hundred dollars to provide a water meter and water service for my new home construction. Two (2) representatives from West Laurel Water Association came out to my families' property and told us to temporary hook into a family member's water line for temporary service until grant money could be used to reduce the installation of my very own water meter to the more reasonable cost of ($500) five-hundred dollars. After this promise was made, we personally undertook the cost of ($250) two-hundred fifty dollars, along with the associated labor, to hook into a family member's water line for temporary…

Bad PR Case Study Examples Perrier Recall 1) Problem  Perrier, the largest US bottled water company (commanding 57% of US market), voluntarily recalled its entire inventory in the US after tests showed the presence of the chemical benzene in small sample of bottles in North Carolina in 1990.  The product was not pure and could also contain harmful substances more dangerous than tap water, creating a danger of product reputation collapse.  Reports and statements were very inconsistent: FDA spokesperson said there was no health threat, while North Carolina Health Department said that there was a risk. Also, Perrier placed a paid advertisement stressing that there was no impurity and tests show traces of Benzene were too minimal to affect health, then placed a full-page ad in papers a month later announcing Perrier return, admitting mistake, announcing problem had been fixed, and insisted spring water was never the problem. 2) Key Strategy  Perrier conducted its own tests after the North Carolina lab found benzene and decided to tell public that the amount was not harmful to health, even though it was.  Perrier placed a paid advertisement stressing that there was no impurity and tests show traces of Benzene were too minimal to affect health, then placed a full-page ad in papers a month later announcing Perrier return, admitting mistake, announcing problem had been fixed, and insisted spring water was never the problem. 3) Result  After the New York Times announced on Feb. 10, 1990 (seven days after benzene was found) that production had been halted worldwide, stocks dropped from 1,692 francs a share to 1,490 franks a share, then again to 1,413 francs a share after the Times announced that Japan also removed Perrier from shelves.  Perrier was a victim to its own reputation and hardly acknowledged the event. The company tried to minimize consequences in an inconsistent manner, while expelling too many excuses and causing controversy. Perrier didn’t try to restore…
