Renewable Energy
Energy is an important part of our life, and no human being in the 21st century can live without it, energy now a day means electricity and electricity is running our world, with no energy there will be no electricity and then no hospitals, no technology and we will go back to stone ages. Energy sources on planet earth can be classified into two types, “renewable” and “nonrenewable” energy sources, they both differ in many aspects, both of them have advantages and disadvantages, and both of them can be generated by many different ways. Renewable energy sources can be found in nature all around us, we can generate this energy from sun, water sources, and wind. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL),a DOE national laboratory ,defined renewable power “Renewable energy systems use resources that are constantly replaced and are usually less polluting. Examples of renewable energy systems include solar, wind, and geothermal energy (getting energy from the heat in the earth). We also get renewable energy from trees and plants, rivers, and even garbage.”. Non-renewable energy sources are those that we are using in our daily life, such as gases, minerals, and oils and those sources are disappearing by time, as many scientists and researchers agreed that those non-renewable sources are vanishing, and will not last for more than a hundred year.
There are many differences between renewable and non renewable energy sources, one can discover those differences easily as they are very obvious to see, and they are many, for instance renewable energy never runs out, whereas non-renewable sources are diminishing by time, in addition renewable energy sources can be found in nature and require no human work, while non-renewable require human power to produce, and we cannot re-generate them for long enough, but might be able to for a short period of time.
