1. INTRODUCTION

The Nation Media Group (NMG) founded by His Highness the Aga Khan in 1959 with two Kenyan newspapers one in English, one in Kiswahili. The company started with print media only which later on diversified into television, radio and now digital media platforms. In addition, to being on multi platforms, the Group’s presence can now be found in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and last year lounged in Rwanda. NMG is now one of the largest companies on the Nairobi Stock Exchange with majority of its shares owned by individual East African shareholders. The current Group CEO is Mr. Linus Gitahi.

Nation Media Group offices are situated at Nation Centre Kimathi Street Nairobi Kenya. It occupies ground floor, 2nd to 7th floor. Marketing department is occupies 3rd floor while printing plant is situated in along Mombasa road.

Business Daily

The Business Daily is a premium newspaper launched in March 2007 that features business news and analysis for the Kenyan market. It is published Monday to Friday and retails at Kshs 50. Distribution is currently 80% Nairobi and the paper is the most read local paper on the internet.
