Although I had previous experience about group work, but this time I was unhappy when I was told that we were suppose to work in-groups. I didn’t know any one in the class therefore, I was not convinced at the beginning the students that I was going to work with. We were group of four and were suppose to design an effective interview and selection process. Each one of us had an effective role in this group work.

We slowly started to work out what aspect we would each be best at. For example I was assigned to do research for the questions my job was to find an appropriate questions that were suitable for the position. This was helpful as we all knew our responsibility and best way to contribute to our

On one side I was serious minded unorthodox, I created some of the work on the other hand, I was the coordinator

I learnt that good group work is based on effective contributions from every member of the group, also how can conflict in the group members be good when managed appropriately and how it can be beneficial to our work as a result we produced quality decisions. Indicates that groups that have little or no contact with each other are unlikely to have either conflicting or harmonious relations. In our group we all came up with many different ideas but because of the time limit we had to ignored many thing for example, all of us came with a list of questions but at the end we chose only few of them.

I also learnt from this experience, the importance of being prepared things like; collecting information about the candidate so that we can make certain judgments about him. For example his CV, practising by reading different books in order to have some interviewing skills so that we will know the job we are

This project taught me how to perform research and collect needed information by analyzing available literature and interviewing involve parties. It provided me with valuable knowledge about patient experience in the hospital and ways to improve it. His project also showed me the importance of team work. Groups may be defined in many ways, indeed providing an absolute definition of a group, as with much of the theory around group work, is highly problematic and contestable. However for the purposes of discussing groupwork within a context of working with young people we may define a group as a small gathering of young people. Group work may simplistically be described as the study and application of the processes and outcomes experienced when a small group comes together.…

Through this group assignment, I really learned much. First, I realize that I should learn more about finance and accounting .when talking about the last part in presentation during discussion, I cannot participate in the debate, and even do not know what they said when comes some proper nouns. Although my major is logistics, it is good for me to learn more about other subject knowledge such as finance and management. Second is although we had discussion many times, we were inefficient and wasted much time. We supposed to have a target or task for each discussion, and leader need to coordinate the meeting. In addition, democracy does not work every time in small group, everyone has a different idea and wants to persuade others, which is the reason that a good leader is very important for a team, so that I should start to train leadership skills. Third is that unity and cooperation are essential to a good team. Team members need to work for…

When working in a group, conflicts usually arise and should be dealt with immediately and directly. Ignoring conflict or disagreements will cause the team to be lose focus, become less productive. Most conflicts result from poor communication and misinterpretations. To resolve conflicts, it is important to locate where the break-down in communication happened. By talking through the conflict with the members of the group, and redefining tasks and objectives, the team can resolve these types of issues. To foster good communication within a group every member must listen to each other, work collaboratively to make decisions, adapt to changes and communication styles, assign specific tasks, set clear deadlines and expectations, and conduct follow-up meetings to…

The definition of a group is “two or more individuals, interacting and interdependent, who have come together to achieve particular objectives” (Robbins & Judge, 2011, p. 277). As a group, you can either work together well, or poorly. Groups can appoint individual members to certain parts of assignments, or individual tasks and then collaborate later together in a group discussion. This can cause functional or dysfunctional conflict. Functional conflict can be worked through even when individuals have different points of view (conflict). Dysfunctional conflict however, can ruin the integrity of the group and cause extreme conflicts. “One researcher says that the problems of brainstorming demonstrate the problems of groups. If you leave groups to their own devices, he says, they’re going to do a very miserable job” (Robbins & Judge, 2011, p. 278).…

I believe I worked well as a team. I always tried to work well with the other staffers and to hear everyone’s input and try to make sure people who wanted to say something were able to speak. I enjoyed working with the rest of the staff and I learned how work even better with the other staffers as the summer went on and I learned how the other staffers communicated best, and expressed what they needed help with. I think one thing I learned from working as a team was that it’s important to be a good listener when you’re part of a team, and…
