Throughout the years we dream of the future. We dream of career and setting goals to become someone. I think of my future every day and ways to make it better. It’s important to know what I want in my life, otherwise I won’t be happy. I am still figuring out who I am and what exactly do I want to dedicate my life to. But my biggest goal in life is to be happy with whatever I’ll be doing. Enjoy life and just simply reach my dreams. I want to get a career, I want to travel the world, I want to explore and understand myself, I want to educate myself as much as possible and eventually I want a family of course. Right now I’m still growing and exploring life, making mistakes and taking chances. I’m trying to find myself in the right place, where I belong. For one thing I am sure of is that I want to be independent. That is why I want to get an education so I could have everything I want. I want to go to college and feel that I am progressing and growing as a human. I try different fields of education to see what will interest me the most. I have good math skills and I do a lot of thinking. I think all the time. I also like drawing, and I draw since I was little. I like doing makeup for others and I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer before. And since all of those things are so different, I’m not sure which way I want to go in life. As an option I’m thinking to go into business field or management because I believe there are many opportunities in this field. I will always find the job if I need to. But I wouldn’t give up other things that I like to do. While going to college and deciding who I want to become as a specialist, I am planning to go to the beauty school also. I want to take courses for makeup artistry. I always do makeup for all of my friends. And I think it would be great to have a hobby that brings me money. So while I’ll be studying at college I would be working somewhere by doing makeup for others so it benefits me in both ways. After two years

Everyone is asked one question, at a very young age. That question is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” There isn’t a time I can remember when an adult didn’t ask me this question. When I was six, I would respond with the usual movie star, fashion designer, or veterinarian. My answer would be said confidently, as at this age I walked through life as if it were no big deal. My answer occasionally changed to fit with my many childhood phases, but my view on the question stayed the same. When I was a child, I replied to this inquiry the same way everyone else did; I answered with an occupation. It took me years to discover my new approach to this question. My new response did not include my dream job, but how I saw myself in the future.…

Ever since I was younger, I’ve had a large imagination, filling up my days dreaming up endless scenarios of the future. Thinking of possible careers was never a problem, but choosing out of the many life paths I wanted was. I alternated between wedding planner, creating a notebook filled with torn out pages of poofy dresses and possible wedding locations; author, stuffing short stories and poems into a floral folder; and psychiatrist, researching the process to become a doctor. The thought that these may not be options for me never crossed my mind. I only knew I would do whatever I could to live out the future I saw in my mind.…

While getting older you travel to different stages of life, and for a long time in your life you only dream of things you would like to become. For instance, when I was just a little boy around the age of eight I dreamed about becoming the president of The Netherlands. My teacher would always say wake up! Stop living in this fantasy world be realistic. But I kept on dreaming about becoming something important. I looked up to people with important jobs, how they communicate or give presentations and speeches to enormous crowds. That inspired me. But there comes a time when you are forced to stop dreaming at least when you are awake. And that moment came when I left high school. I began to realize that the time to think about my future profession had arrived. I had to think about a job and make that right choice, and then you realize that it is not that easy as: I want to be a doctor, pilot or even a president. You have to choice different paths, will I become a doctor or an economist and you realize you can’t be both. And you ask yourself the question, what do I want to be when leaving school? And you ask that question over and over again and it becomes more and…

In kindergarten, I knew I would grow up to be a scientist. I was so sure of it that I drew a crude picture of myself standing over a lab table surrounded by beakers filled with mysterious, colorful liquids in my journal. By fifth grade I dreamt of designing skyscrapers and changing skylines until I figured out I wanted nothing to do with math. By middle school I wanted to be a lawyer or an interior designer, whichever one made more money. By high school my response to “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was a sheepish smile, an awkward pause, and the confession that I had no idea.…

Being a freshman in High School, I did a lot of worrying about my future. I wondered what I could do that will make me happy, that I’d be good at, and that would make me financially stable. Back then, I had a very close minded view of the world. I didn’t see myself as being anything more than average. As I went through High School, my views totally changed, and I finally found my calling by the middle of my High School career. It was a pretty broad vision, but it was a start. My dream field of work, would be business.…

When I was young, I never really knew what I wanted to become when I got older, but I always had very high aspirations for myself. I always thought that I would become either a doctor or a lawyer. Both professions seemed highly respected, and the high income from each was a very important factor. As I grew older, I started to drift away from dreams of becoming a lawyer, and focused toward the medical field. The more I considered this choice of a profession, I began to realize that it was what I wanted to do with my life. However, like most people, my dreams changed over the course of time. My experiences and mistakes changed my perception on life in general, as well as my dreams and goals. I went through periods of time where I wanted to become a pilot,…

Interesting enough, the word love is first mentioned in correlation to sacrifice. God asked Isaac to give up the one thing that he loved the most in order to please God. Although, Isaac subsequently did not have to physically give it up. He did sacrifice it both spiritually and emotionally. That symbolism is true love. In fact whenever the bible describes love it never describes as personal selfish and self-gaining. Love is always about your actions towards someone and is completely about sacrifice.…

I have been a part of many groups, whether they were academic or work-related. I have had many issues that have caused conflict in these groups settings. A conflict that comes up a lot is how to deal with someone who is not pulling his/her load on the current project. This always leads to excuses about how the person has a much more hectic life than the others in the group and can even lead to pointing out other members’ flaws. Another conflict that can arise is when a “quieter” member of the group doesn’t speak up when he doesn’t agree with someone. This leads to this person developing resentment towards the more outspoken members of the group. It will tend to come out in different ways so this person can vent their frustration and in-turn could be responsible for squashing a tremendous idea. I believe before a group can truly work together, it must bridge the gaps between the different personality types by getting to know one another. This does not necessarily mean meeting socially with the group, in fact this could bring more conflicts into the group that were not otherwise there. I think in order to keep the conflicts simple and manageable the group should stay away from meeting socially.…

There are a lot of books that have been written over what the different spiritual gifts are and how they are supposed to be used. There are quite a few verses in the New Testament that covers the spiritual gifts and how we are to use them. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-8 we are told, “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the sane God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same spirit.” The Bible…
