Reflection On Hd2 Attendance Attestations
Reflection #2: Professionalism
I will be reflecting on the trigger of the attendance attestations. What got my attention about this subject is that this type of reporting will be similar to things that are expected of a physician like the CME credits and documentation. I never really thought about the parallel between these. Early in the semester I did feel inconvenienced with completing the attestations at times because it was something I was not used to doing, which therefore made it more difficult to remember, and because with some of the attestations there was only a small window of time between attending the class on a Friday afternoon and having the blackbag attestation closing at 8 a.m. on Saturday. My original assumption was that attestations were used for HD2 only because it was easier for grading purposes than someone else having to go through attendance rosters and then input those points into a grade book. I would not say I had an emotional reaction to realizing that there is a connection between HD2 attestations and my future professional obligations. …show more content…
This documentation will be a large part of my work duties so being negative about this could negatively eventually spread to impact my overall attitude while I am at work. And that would be a very bad thing because that could affect my attitude with my physician colleagues, other individuals I work with, and even my patients.
