Reflection On Aca 122 Week 2 Individual Assignment
Final Reflection Assignment ACA is a class that provides information and strategies to develop academic and professional goals beyond the community college environment. This class has taught me just that, and it has also taught me more about myself that I did not know beforehand. It has proven to be helpful especially for the first year of Community College. The Community College experience would have been much more difficult if it were not for ACA 122. The most useful Wake Tech resource that ACA 122 has introduced to me is the Individualized Learning Center (ILC). The ILC is basically a place where you can go to for a short tutoring session. The classes that they offer help include math, english, and they even include a session for a personality test. I mainly used the ILC for my English 111 papers. I went in and showed them my papers, but to my surprise they were not making any marks on my paper. I soon found out that I had to write the corrections on my essay because it was in my personal interest to get a better grade not them. This made more sense after they explained their reasoning behind it. The ILC has substantially helped my academic goals because they have given me the tools needed to earn a better grade on my paper. It has also helped my career goal because a radiologist has to be able to explain their thought process well. Through many assignments given to me in this class I have learned more about the best method of studying for me to achieve the highest grade possible. I learned that it is better to study at least a week in advance before a test rather than studying the day before …show more content…
It also provided information of the various resources that Wake Tech provides. I liked this class because it also provided study tips, and I took these to heart. They gave an explanation on why I do well throughout the semester, but not as well on the final

The system will be broken down into two different levels; the frequency of a buyers shopping with Kudler Fine Foods and the amount of money that the buyer spends with each purchase. After watching the class video on our health care system I was shocked to learn several statistics. First that there are 20,000 citizens die every year because they do not have health insurance. That is unacceptable. You are talking about people, as in the case of Maria that is a hard worker but because of not having health insurance, she delays going to her family physician until she can no longer have a quality of life that she can tolerate and then she still is defeated. I am amazed about several things regarding our country. As the video stated, as a citizen you have a right to an attorney if you cannot afford one, you have the right to a free public education and you have the right to vote among other rights. What you do not have is the right to free health care or affordable health insurance. The only way you get treated is if you are bleeding out in an ER or if you are incarcerated. Criminals have better healthcare than a hard working woman trying to make ends meet!…

My first provision is Sec. 1555. “Freedom not to participate in Federal health insurance programs”( PPACA, 2010 ). This provision illustrates that “everyone in America has a right to choice whether if participate in federal insurance care program, and who opt out federal insurance care program will not be penalized”( PPACA, 2010 ). According to this provision, I firmly consider that everyone can choose to out of Obamacare without penalty. In my personal point of view, I really admire this provision. I always considered everyone should join Obamacare before, but now, I know it is not mandatory. This provision can absolutely represent the…

“Are you ready for a unique learning experience that will help you succeed in college? Through AP’s college-level course and exams, you can earn college credit and advanced placement, stand out in the admission process, and learn from some of the most skilled, dedicated, and inspiring teachers in the world.” This excerpt comes from the main web page about AP course on College Board’s official website. In 1900, the College Board was created to expand the availability to getting a higher education. Formed by a handful of colleges, their purpose was to simplify the application process for students and college admission offices. More than a century after evaluating those first test-takers, their job has been helping more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition into college each year, and continue to serve the education community through research on behalf of students, schools and teachers. Over the last several years it has become crucial for high school students to take AP or Advanced Placement courses in order to get into a good college, or at least that is what they tell teenagers. As a former high school student, I was constantly told by the college admissions committees how it would make a difference to see that I took AP courses on my college application and got good scores on the AP test, but was it really worth the time and effort that I put into those classes? Because of the stress over the work and the obsession getting accepted into a good, AP classes are doing more harm than good.…
