Red Velvet Cake

My chose is Red Velvet Cake. Is a popular cake with a dark red, bright red or red-brown color? It is traditionally prepared as a layer cake topped with cream cheese icing, and sometimes cookie dough filling. To describes a red velvet cakes varying in the amounts of shortening and butter. All use red food coloring, but the reaction of acidic vinegar and buttermilk tends to better reveal the red anthocyanin in the cocoa. Before more alkaline "Dutch Processed" cocoa was widely available, the red color would have been more pronounced. This natural tinting may have been the source for the name "red velvet" as well as "Devil's Food" and similar names for chocolate cakes. Red velvet cake frosting is typically a white, creamy color, which serves as a dramatic contrast to the color of the actual cake. Although the types can vary, many stick with a traditional cream cheese frosting. Others might opt for a buttercream frosting which will also do the trick.
To discuss how many different variants exist and explore the class literature for this information, as well as other: As it turns out, the first recipe for the iconic dessert referring to it as "Red Velvet Cake" was published in 1962, the cake had existed before that, it's true, its red color a reaction of its ingredients, but this recipe calls for red food coloring, which up the color and has become a signature of the cake. So while the cake had existed, this was the year that it began its ascent into legendary territory. Humble beginnings and a swanlike transformation; both Red Velvet Cake and Marilyn Monroe began their lives in much simpler, humbler ways than the icons that we now call to mind when thinking about party, pastry or person. In the case of Red velvet cake, it began as the slightly ruddy-hued outcome of buttermilk and vinegar reacting while baking; it wasn't until

The blossom, by their delightful smell and store of nectar, attract myriads of bees, and as a result of the fertilization effected by these visitors in their search of the buried nectar. The fruit develops and becomes in autumn the beautiful little crab apple, which when ripe is red in color, oval or pear shape, tasty and feeling is sweet, crisp and juicy. I like apple. On Saturday evening, I went to the cafeteria for dinner but there was nothing that I interested in to eat, but red eye-catching apple. I maneuver around and see students walking to the fruit area and there were apples, oranges, and bananas in container. My eyes clicked on apple right away because the look was beautiful, the color is red and the shape is oval or pear. Moreover, by looking at three fruit sitting adjacent to each other on the table, one can see many different characteristics that set them apart from each other. I knew by picking apple I can eat without peeling off skin in my way home, while other two need to peel off to eat. After steering few seconds I picked up one apple and one orange then head back to my room. After I arrived to the dorm, I realized that I have an assignment ‘‘ observing the fruit or vegetable’’ so I ate the orange and kept apple in fridge for my assignment.…

In the short story “Red Velvet Dress” by Naomi Shihab Nye, Lena is a girl with a father who is Arab. This story really made me think about what it would be like to just be sitting at home when someone comes up to me and asks me questions about my family. I think that it would make me feel quite uncomfortable, such as it made Lena in the story. Although I have never been asked if there was a “Japanese” in my house or an “Irish”. This story made me think of a time that my mother picked up the phone and a total stranger started talking in Japanese to her. Everyone in my family was freaked out that someone who didn’t ever knew us would know that huge detail about my mother. I would think that’s how Lena felt when those two children that she had never seen before, let alone talked to, suddenly knew this part of her and her family that some of her friends didn’t even know. It almost seems as if total strangers would know that about you, then what else would they know? Would they know that I have an older sister? Would they know that some of my cousins are in the army? I suppose I would react the same way that Lena did, just close the door in his or her face after saying, no there is no person like that here.…

A red letter day (sometimes hyphenated asred-letter day or called scarlet day in academia) is any day of special significance. The term originates from Medieval churchcalendars. Illuminated manuscripts often marked initial capitals and highlighted words in red ink, known as rubrics. The First Council of Nicaea in 325 decreed the saints' days, feasts and other holy days, which came to be printed on church calendars in red. The term came into wider usage with the appearance in 1549 of the first Book of Common Prayer in which the calendar showed special holy days in red ink. Many current calendars have special dates and holidays such as Sundays, Christmas Day and Midsummer Day rendered in red colour instead of black. On red letter days, judges of the English High Court (Queen's Bench Division) wear, at sittings of the Court of Law, their scarlet robes(See court dress).
