Recycling and Clean Environment
How do we keep Brunei Darussalam clean? To keep our country clean, firstly we must practice good habits to keep our environment clean. A good example is we ourselves need to be clean and healthy. Then, our home and garden need to be clean and we must maintain them regularly. Once we know how to keep ourselves and homes clean, then we are able to appreciate the whole environment and do our best to keep it clean. We need a clean environment, free of pollutants in the air, water and land. This is because we need clean air to breathe in, safe drinking water and a safe place to live in. It is not only us but other living creatures need to have a clean environment too. For example, sea creatures like fish and turtles will live much longer if there is no pollution in the sea water. The concept of 3R’s, “reduce, reuse, and recycle” is very important to have a clean environment. Reduce means using fewer resources in the first place. Each of us can make a difference in protecting our environment and keeping our country clean. If we all do our bit in looking after the environment we will live in a better

We have all heard about “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” and does it sound like a beautiful solution to all our problems. The 3R’s are not a solution, but a slow process of downcyling of raw materials, whether they are biological (from the natural world; biodegradable) or technical (pure, raw materials such as metals and plastics; upcyclable) nutrients, to a point in which they are rendered useless; most likely ending up in a landfill to decay ‘till eternity. The authors prefer to use the word upcycled, rather than recycled, because most products today are not conceived in a way where they can be safely recycled. For example, a soda can will never become a soda can again. If it is…

There are many problems facing the world today; serious problems that could have grave consequences if not resolved within the next few years. The environment is a necessity for everyday life. Without the environment, we would die. How we chose to end global warming is interesting, because much of our daily uses affect the environment.…
