Rebels Motorcycle Club
Forty-four years ago in a hotel in Brisbane, a group of 'bikies' who'd been riding/building bikes together got serious about starting a club. The Rebels motorcycle club was founded by Clint Jacks in Brisbane, Queensland in 1969 and was originally named the "Confederates". Their first meeting was in Indooroopilly but there was a blue at the pub and the meeting was never finished. At the second meeting, the drawings, badges/logos, rules, etc. were finalised. The first President, Clint Jacks helped make the badge based on his love of skulls and swastikas.
Some time later a Chapter of the Club started in Dubbo, followed by one in Rockhampton and so on. From these beginnings grew the biggest Outlaw Motorcycle Club in Australia.
