Reasons You Should Join Jrotc
JROTC is a military based high school class on the concept of building citizens. JROTC will benefit me in several ways. I joined this class to become a better person inside and out. JROTC could help me develop citizenship, respect and responsiveness to authority, and patriotism. Also, my importance level for physical fitness will increase. JROTC is not only a good path to take if you have intentions to join the service but it also teaches you confidence and leadership - tools you will certainly use all your life. JROTC will benefit me in several ways. I may come across jobs that require certain skills and qualities. Being in JROTC will give me an advantage in getting certain jobs that I may qualify for. When working with money, one in JROTC may be trusted more so than an average applicant who is not. Being in JROTC shows me ways to use honesty to my benefits. There are a large number of awards which cadets can earn for participation and achievement in the program. All awards have certain criteria, but are open to all who achieve those criteria’s. Involvement, good leadership traits, and being an active participant of the program are the main requirements. Another benefit is many colleges give advance standing and credit for completion of the JROTC program if the person enroll in college ROTC. The JROTC instructors have been very successful in helping high school students, such as me, who are interested, obtain ROTC scholarships and service academy appointments. Scholarships obtained from the ROTC program can be up to $60,000.00. JROTC will teach me a lot including things I would go through in the military. It will get me physically and mentally prepared for military style training. I won't have to learn all that in the military. They even teach Drill and Ceremony. I will be able to do Marching and possibly even be able to run the formations. That gets me closer to getting promotions from E-2 on up through the NCO ranks. In conclusion,
