Hero, such an overused word. These days people think someone who helps you with homework or something else is a hero. What is the true definition of a hero? “ A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is braver for five minutes longer”, this quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson. A hero is someone who puts someone's lives before theirs, someone who is willing to change their image to stand up for what they believe in, and a hero is someone who follows the Hero's Journey.
Some one who puts someone elses lives, before theirs. Someone who puts their safety last.

For example, Alexander Hamilton chose to gave up his image from treasury to a soldier not caring what people thought. He became a hero defending his beliefs and his nation.
Last but certainly not least following the hero's journey. This is the obvious one but is usually ignored. There are steps to take to be a hero, and following a hero's journey is the obvious way to become one. There are eleven steps to the hero's journey which are: call to adventure, assistance, departure, trails, approach, crisis, treasure, result, return, new life and resolution.
