Rachelle Facilitator
Due to a small group, Rachelle was the only facilitator. The tasks of the facilitator include; selecting members, physically set up the group, prepare members, set a tone and model it, establish flexible goals and objectives, ensure full and open interaction, focus on here and now, confront, provide feedback and analysis, begin and end the sessions and encourage therapeutic factors (Maguire, 2002 pg. 140-147). Furthermore, the group facilitator employed the following roles throughout the group; fostering cohesion, addressing group norms, intervening with members’ roles, attending to subgroup structure, using the leadership role purposefully and attending to group and individual process (Hepworth, Rooney, Rooney, & Strom-Gottfried, 2017, p.
