Rabbit Proof Fence
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Rabbit proof fence tells a true story of three young aboriginal girls, who are taken from their mothers and forced to be “re-educated” of the western ways at a remote settlement near Moore River. Molly, the oldest of the three, takes responsibility of the 2 younger girls, Gracie and Daisy.
Molly, Gracie and daisy are taken away from their home in jigalong, they suffered a long journey to an education camp near Moore River, throughout their epic journey they attempt the impossible, to travel 1500 miles back to jigalong (on foot) across unforgiving landscapes featuring daring escapes.
Throughout their journey they meet kind people who help them along their way providing them with food, water, shelter and clothing. The first person they run into is a mid-aged lady, who caught Gracie fussing around in her chicken coop, the lady then offered them food, and clothing. They were then off again to embark on more challenging outcomes.
On their journey they met about 5 people who helped them along their way. Although one of these so called ‘helpers’, led them into a trap, therefore the government official Mr. Neville then caught the young Gracie. Therefore Molly and Daisy then were off on their way again, just the two of them, overcoming challenging experiences in a pair.
Throughout their escape, they overcame many close calls, Molly, went out of her way to cover up their tracks, so then the tracker would not be able to find them, it took them over 2 months to capture only one child. Molly was a smart girl, she thought through her plans, and made few mistakes.
The theme of the movie is based on “The Stolen Generation”, which was a time period in Australia when *half-caste children were to be ‘outbred’. The movie shows people the racism that was present in Australia.
The actresses-Everlyn Sampi (Molly), Tianna Sansbury (Daisy) and Laura Monaghan (Gracie) showed acting of great skill, they acted as if they were the children that were taken away in

They had just been through some adventures and challenges, a few of them very dangerous and almost life threatening, to bring back some does to their warren to complete their new home. Their warren finally had both bucks and does and they were all living comfortably together. They were even expecting a litter or two soon. They couldn't have asked for anything more. "The Story of Rowsby Woof and the Fairy Wogdog" was about how El-ahrairah was able to trick Rowsby Woof, the dog, to leave his master's house so that El-ahrairah could sneak into his home to eat the lettuces his master had brought inside to thaw out. This story was told to the rabbits just in time because General Woundwort and some of his Owsla rabbits had come for revenge. General Woundwort was from the Erfrafa warren where Hazel had taken the does. General Woundwort was not happy at all; he wanted to have all the does returned, along with Big Wig who tricked them, and Blackavar who escaped with the does. "The Story of Rowsby Woof and the Fairy Wogdog" reminded Hazel that they also had a dog, at Nuthanger Farm, nearby that they could trick to benefit them.
