Reflection on The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a great and an interesting movie. The story is unique and who would have thought that someone will have an idea like that in her head. I know that the movie was not the same as it was in the book but anything that was added or removed in the story did not ruin it. Instead, it enhanced the movie experience. . In the movie, teenagers from poor districts are forced to compete with each other as the world watches. Poverty and fear are shown, but nothing is done to revive poor neighborhoods and build a better future for these teenagers and their families. After watching the movie, it made me think that what if it will actually happen in the future? Does that mean that the world in the future will be poor and starving that they will fight for food? What did the people do that caused these things? These are the questions that formed in my mind. My general impression is that the film is not as violent as I was expecting because it is more on fighting so I was expecting that it will be violent but it was still terrifying that what the viewers get is the emotional impact. The scenes are intense that the viewers will feel it. In the world of The Hunger Games, the characters live their lives, care for each other but are scared to fight for their rights because the Capitol is powerful enough that they can destroy the district that will go against them so they just follow what the people in the Capitol told them. But because of the rebellion shown by Peeta and Katniss, the people discovered that there is hope in fighting for their rights and go against the Capitol. From this, I have learned that in life, we have to make sacrifices for other people to be happy or to be safe especially when it is the one you love that is in danger. Also, I have learned that we must be careful on whom we give our trust. It is very important because once trust is destroyed; it is really hard to bring it back. We should put our families
