Quarta
Not everyone is born with only two arms and two legs. In the story “The Girl Who Was Born With Only Two Arms and Two Legs” by Stuart Baum, Quarta is lonely at first, but later in the story, she shows more kindness because she has more friends. In the beginning, Quarta is lonely. In the middle, she is trying to make more friends. In the end, she shows more kindness. In the beginning, Quarta is very lonely. One piece of evidence is that when all of the other kids played “Balls and Sticks”, a game where there was two balls and two sticks, Quarta had a disadvantage because she only had two arms and two legs and you needed four arms and four legs. Another example is that she struggled to fit in socially. Whenever her friends wanted to take her somewhere she never wanted to go because they treated her more like a pet that a friend. No one would date her because they focused on what was on the outside than on the

One example is that she let anyone play One Ball, even those who teased her. When all the popular, athletic kids wanted to join the league, Quarta let them play. She created a whole league where anyone could play, no matter how many limbs they had. One Ball is a game open to all players. Another example is that she invited Shay to play. Shay had all four arms and four legs, but one of each was disoriented. Shay ended up loving they game! He was glad that someone like him could play even though he wasn't the most athletic person. Quarta is so kind that she let Shay play. She shows more kindness in the end because she has more friends to be kind to.
