His impulsive side had caused quite some havoc. Romeo did not fall in love, yet merely was infatuated with Juliet, as well as Rosaline, “So soon Forsaken? Young men’s love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes”(2.3.67-68). If Romeo hadn’t acted out on this infatuation towards Juliet then none of the rapid irrational actions of the couple would have occurred. Romeo then marries Juliet the next evening, a few hours later from meeting each other, he asks Friar Laurence who reluctantly accepts, but for other reasons, “That thou consent to marry us today”(2.2.64). Since the marriage was done secretly no-one else besides the Friar, nurse and Balthasar knew about it therefore it caused some problems. For example, Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel, yet Romeo has no intentions in fighting with Tybalt due to them being cousins, “Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee”(3.1.59). Tybalt doesn't know about the marriage so he takes Romeo’s remark as a sarcastic one which fuels his anger, “Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done to me”(3.1.63-64). When Mercutio is slain by Tybalt , Romeo takes it upon himself to avenge his friend’s death and slays Tybalt, but soon realized what he has done, “O, I am fortune’s fool!”(3.1.135). Romeo acted impulsively which leads to his banishment from Verona and breaking any chance of reconcile between the families, “Immediately we do…

It began with Mercutio and Tybalt almost jokingly fighting. Romeo, though, was worried and tried to end the fight, but instead inflicted more damage. When Romeo comes in between the two, Tybalt’s sword pierced Mercutio from under Romeo’s arm, delivering the blow that would cause the deaths of all of them. Mercutio said, “Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.” (p. 231), and Romeo responded, “I thought all for the best”(p. 231). This incident, at least, was an accident. Tybalt had not intended to kill Mercutio, but Romeo messed them up by trying to pull Mercutio away. Romeo didn’t intend for him to be killed either, he was just attempting to stop the fighting. Because Mercutio died, Romeo was filled with anger, and in order to avenge Mercutio, decided to kill Tybalt, which led to his banishment. Romeo demanded that Tybalt duel him, saying “And fire-eyed fury be my conduct…

First, if they did not have a feud Tybalt would have never challenged Romeo to a duel. It was the feud that made Tybalt hate the Montagues. He thought that because Romeo was a Montague he should have never went to the party and it made him angry that he did. Next, Juliet’s family hated Romeo more after he killed Tybalt. Romeo did not have a chance at seeing Juliet, if her family saw him they wanted him dead because they thought the banishment was not enough of a punishment for killing Tybalt. Lastley, Lady Capulet said “For blood of ours shed blood of Montague,” when she learned Romeo killed Tybalt. They wanted Romeo dead after they heard he killed Tybalt. Juliet could not let her family know that she just married Romeo because they would never approve and they could not see each other. Since they couldn’t see each other Juliet made a plan for them to escape together but it failed and Romeo ended up killing himself before she woke up and then she killed herself. Reporter Grace Williams. VERONA,IT- Finally fed up with dead nobles on the street, Prince Esales promises to seek out the origin of the century long feud between noble families Capulet and Montague. What is more dangerous, an unforeseen tragedy or one you have been anticipating for days? In the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, this is pondered through the analyzing of the title characters’ actions. Romeo and Juliet, two teenagers from rival families in ancient Verona, find themselves madly in love after a run-in at a party held by Juliet’s family. Even before the two meet, premonitions of their untimely deaths begin. Some are vague metaphor-like visions in their dreams and some are very obvious moments of sudden realization that something in the next few hours will lead to their deaths. What is puzzling, however, is the fact that despite these clues the pair fails to accept these insights into the future. Had they stopped for a moment to question the meaning behind these moments they surely would have been able to avoid the fatal outcome of their actions, but this is not the case in these lovers’ tale. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the title characters often foresee their untimely deaths but ignore the…
