Public School System

Dear Public School System, Some people feel that your arrangement does not adequately prepare students for the real world. A student enters the real world when he/she graduates high school. Therefore, there must be some improvement in order to better prepare students for life after high school. Pursuing this further, one would probably produce an anonymous student survey to be filled out every nine weeks or so; the survey will ask students what they think about their teachers teaching techniques and/or what they think they can be done to better prepare them for the future. A section for surplus comments will also be included. This idea would be an excellent one because, kids need to be heard. In addition, school boards and administration need to become more aware of what is going on inside of their classrooms. Primarily, students need to voice their opinions. What better way than this survey? It is imperative that teenagers feel free to express their feelings on subjects in a peaceful manner. By grasping this concept, it would better prepare them for jobs were they will have to interact with other people and give their input towards different situations in the workplace. This way they continue to develop a sense of self-esteem, self-worth and independent thinking. They also need to feel they have some control and say in what happens around them. Ultimately, students will feel they can be understood as people-not children; and taking on more responsibilities will become first nature. Subsequently, the authorities need commitment to find out what is truly happening behind the scenes. The administration and the school boards cannot always be there in the classroom with the teacher and that’s where a dilemma arises. Every semester this survey will help school leaders help their students. After all, starting this way would seem like the logical thing to do. If the adults in the students’ lives during these five days a week do not have the right tools for properly educating them, students fail to exceed their minds limits.
Fundamentally, an improvement schools need to make in order to better prepare students for life after high school is to introduce an overview of the undergraduates outlook on their school experience. Only when the administrators can entirely comprehend what it is that is holding back the student body from creating a solid foundation for the future, can they put these ideations into action. In order to advance themselves, students of all grade levels cannot be afraid to speak up and be heard. When these undergraduates finally become alumni it will become that much easier to mature into the future leaders we’ve always wanted to help form by showing their inner confidence. A student survey may not sound like a lot but it can one day make the world a better place, with better citizens.
