Psychiatric Consultation Nurse
Discussion: The focus of psychiatric consultation liaison is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of psychiatric disorders in patients with physical illness and experiencing emotional distress. CL nurse forms a link between physical care and psychosocial care of the in or outpatients in the general medical settings. The roles of CL nurse have been described in four major categories: clinical, educational, research and administrative.
