Reflection Paper Requirements

Choose ONE of the following topics:

1. Why do college and universities have such strict policies regarding academic honesty?
2. Why is procrastination a problem in managing time and according to the book, what are some ways to avoid procrastination?
3. What is the difference between memorization and deep learning? What effect do they have on learning?
4. Discuss in your own words the results of the Marshmallow Study. Do you think they are accurate? Why? Why not? How does self-control relate to learning? What are some methods you use to increase self-control (list and describe at least three).
5. What is the difference between fact and opinion? Why should you use critical thinking when watching the news?

The Reflection Paper should be a thoughtful and considered response, similar to the ones you do in class. The body of the paper should be a minimum of 3 pages in length, typed, using Times New Roman 12 point font, and doubled spaced. The layout of the paper should be similar to the following:
Page 1: Title Page (Includes: Name, Course, Instructor’s Name, Semester and Year)
Page 2: The chosen topic for the paper. Not an Abstract.
Page 3: Introduction (minimum 4 sentences)
Page 4: Body of the paper. Answer the question using your thoughts, experiences, information from the readings (Remember to Cite!), lecture discussions, videos, any outside information
After body of paper: Conclusion
After Conclusion: Reference

Due Thur. October 31 at 11:59pm. Please turn it in to me using Blackboard. The Reflection Paper is worth 50 points. Points will be deducted for misspelled words, incorrect sentences (ex. fragments), and incorrect punctuation (cant is incorrect; can’t is correct).
