grandfather believed that organizational membership was a way of learning to interact with people and build relationships. At the age of ten years fund those interest. until the age of fifteen years I was a member of Boys Scouts of America and school band. However in the latter part of my teenage years and high school career my interest changed; I resigned for both organizations and auditioned for my high school yearbook staff and the school of performing arts; I was accepted at both. After two years of hard work and commitment, both of which I learned from the Boy Scouts of America I earned the position of co editor on the yearbook staff and gain valuable knowledge about me and how to push limits during my tenure as a drama major in the school of performing arts.

In the interim of my responsibilities at school I was continuing to grow mentally. My interest evolved, i.e. clothes, entertainment, etc. During summer vacations I would work to earn extra money to fund those interests. My first job was with Six Flags over Georgia. I also trained and a professional travel agent for American Express Platinum card division; acquiring clients and assisting them with intricate high end travel. I was also privileged to experience these trips personally worldwide.

However in 2007 after the changes the economy has brought to our nation I decided to pursue another transformational change by embracing another career choice. After research and prayer I was down to two careers nursing and teaching. Both offered rewarding experiences, helping others and personal satisfaction. I eventually chose teaching because it brings me full circle back to the communities in which I grew up and acquired my values in the first place. I’ve chosen to become an educator of underprivileged, low income students within Title 1 schools. I currently volunteer as a tutor and mentor at my church’s nonprofit community organization.
