Psalms 119 Analysis
For this assignment, I will be discussing Psalms 1 and Psalms 119 so that I can better explain my understanding of the verses and how they have impacted me. I will also explain the elements that stand out to me and reflect on how I believe it applies to my life either now or in the past. Finally, I well express how the message can be applied in today’s world in hopes of helping the reader better understand. Let’s first look at Psalms 1 and what it means. Psalms 1 is the introduction to the Psalms and after reading it is made clear that God view us in two ways; wicked and blessed. The wicked are the sinners and those live in sinful ways. I love this because I have spent many nights wondering why God created us and wondering what he wants us to do in this world he created for us. I believe Psalms 119 is one of the ways he explains this to us, and helps us stay faithful to him in difficult times. I noticed that during times in my life that were hard I could find comfort in Psalms 119 because is explains how to better understand and stay true during difficult times. When I was, younger I use to get upset and blame God and sadly this made me bitter and the situation worse. As I matured I realized that during the hard times, like with my son, was when I need God’s love and support the most. I believe Psalms 119 is there to help and guide us through the hard times and in today’s world that is becoming more and more common for people. I also explained how Psalm 1 impacted my life and how it can be applied in today’s world by making sure we understand that path we choose will determine how God views us. Next, we looked at the longest chapter in the Bible, Psalm 119 and how God used it to explain his plan for us and how we could get through hard times. I also explained how it applied to me and my relationship with God as I matured through life and how it applies to today’s world.
