Pros And Cons Of Left Wing
The left-wing is a political term originated in the eighteenth century during the French Revolution. The left-wing was about sitting on the left side of the power of the presidency that supported the revolution, profane Republic, and opposed the Monarchy of the old governance. The left-wing domestic extremist's groups favored radical change, socialism, and republicanism. The more current local leftist domestic extremist groups developed from the remains of the Weather Underground Organization of students for a Democratic Society in 1969 which the FBI dismantled many of these groups by arresting key members for their criminal activities. They are generally in favor of abortion rights, and stem cell research. They support gay marriage and are against any anti-discrimination laws that do not protect LGBT against workplace discrimination. The left-wing domestic extremist's groups are in favor of gun control laws, and they believe that background checks should be performed during the waiting periods before buying a gun. They recommend that automatic weapons should be banned, and disallowing citizens to carry or conceal weapons. They have started a voice to help provide citizenship for undocumented immigrants and making sure undocumented immigrants who are young adults and have no criminal record receive due process. (Diffen, 2017) However, they are against voter’s identification laws creating an undue burden on elderly citizens, and also lower income groups causing them to be disenfranchised. (Diffen, 2017)
