Pros And Cons Of Building Nuclear Power Plants
The governor of PA I think that building a nuclear power plant in East Pennsboro Township is a bad idea since it's expensive to run a nuclear power plant. It a good chance that it might be disaster in Pennsylvania,do remember what happened last time when there is a nuclear power plant in Pennsylvania it killed some of the people that lived there and homes.I know that you think that it will be worth it since generate energy faster than other sources but It's a nonrenewable source so it's can’t be made since it been made a long time ago. It might be a lot of nuclear waste, but sooner so we will not a nuclear power plant if we are going to run out. I know that other people are making nuclear power plants, but it don’t mean you have to make one too. It a lot of accidents that happen to other countries that have nuclear power plants. It lasts about 50 years after building it so it just a waste of time since you have to build another one if you ask me about it. It takes about 20-30 years just for building a nuclear power plant that won't even last that long to begin with. I know it cheaper for people to use instead of electricity, but it will waste the storage that the people have. Don’t forget that the homes and buildings that we …show more content…
When they nuclear waste destroyed the animals and plants then we will run out of food to eat and to use for making clothes. The people that have been making the clothes and food that been grown for use to eat and by killing the animals that we eat. Nuclear waste can also infect the water when it hit into a big body of water like an ocean or a lake. When it hit into the lake, then the mammals that live in the ocean will be dead by the nuclear waste that from the power plant. I hope that everything that I say about nuclear waste change your mind about building a nuclear power plant in East Pennsboro

However things do not always run so smoothly, and the leakage of the nuclear material could have devastating consequences to both the land and its inhabitants. One of the bigger well know events of this nature, came from the power plant Chernobyl. To put simply it is a plant that exploded releasing nuclear waste into the atmosphere. Although this is detrimental to the environment the significance behind this event is because of this accident, we have now learned from our mistakes and are taking more precautions so that history is not repeated. I will prove that history will not be repeated through some background knowledge of the plant, what happened during the meltdown and how it effected the land and inhabitants, and finally what insight we have gained from this event and its significance to history.…

    Recently, a client of mine bought real estate near Donald C. Cook Nuclear Generating Station, which is in Bridgman Michigan. Although, the property is six miles north of the nuclear power plant, the buyer decided that it was not an issue and bought the place. The property sits in a beautiful wooded area overlooking Lake Michigan with a cozy ranch, mile long driveway, and old hardwood trees. One would never notice there is a nuclear power plant down the street when sitting by the pond skipping stones across a quiet serene boutique farm and vineyard. This property also sits in Cook 's emergency zone located on an evacuation map on their website. Taking a look at the brochure and website of Cook 's nuclear station, one would be amazed to see all the precautionary steps taken to protect the nuclear reactor that is enclosed in a 3 ½ ft thick concrete wall reinforced with three layers of steel rebar in a reactor house that is heavily guarded by security personal with guns www.cookinfo.com). The brochure even includes an explanation of the not so foreseeable disaster if a plane crashed into the reactor house and how there is “very few combustible material to fuel a fire” (www.cookinfo.com).
