Communication is a very important aspect in general and especially important in a healthcare setting. As health care professionals, we must look, listen and understand our patient needs, and make sure they are met. This makes life so much more easier. In this article we are going to explore communication in health care assessments.

(p.146) Health care workers must also be motivational, be open to new ways of giving advice or providing information to the patient. Always observe your patient as well, they may tell you they feel fine and in reality they have hypertension, or they may be as pale as a ghost and still say they feel fine.. Listen actively and use direct questions. Back to observing the patient, Do they seem ready and willing to make any changes? We also have to remember as well that healthcare service has to be great and effective to help with communication.
