Promote Independent Learning
Independent learning is part of an ongoing lifelong process in which pupils will develop the attitudes, knowledge and skills that will aid them in making responsible decisions about their own learning. Teaching assistants can promote independent learning by creating opportunities and experiences that encourage interest, self confidence and motivation, which in turn will provide them with a positive self esteem. There are three key aspects that have to be adopted by teaching staffs in order to successfully promote independent learning.
