I have begun the termination process with both my clients and supervisor. I have had several clients that I have worked with on the acute unit who were flagged as High Risk for Suicide that I had to terminate with prior to them being discharged. I have also carried a small caseload in which I started the termination process early (due to my supervisor having to attend a Suicide Prevention Conference in Denver this week). I would say the process was much easier than I expected. All of the veterans were extremely kind and thanked me for my service and wished me well in my future endeavors.
