Project Name: Membership and Monitoring Information System
Project Objectives
This project will develop a new form of system for membership and monitoring services to reinforce the vision for Hardrock Fitness Gym. The subsequent system will ensure that the membership of the customers will highly be monitored and the management and usage of entity’s equipment can be well supervised. The result of this anticipated project will be:
1. Construct an in-house information system which will result to a substantial benefit and advantage to the entity as the business is growing with a significant number of members.
Project Conception
The commencement of this project started on August 23, 2013, as the members of the IT 131-B observed that the entity Hardrock Fitness Gym is facing a demanding situation on which they really need an improvement in their membership system as their business is growing with a significant number of members. The project was conceptualized by providing solutions to the problems that the entity is facing. The system highly focuses on the membership and monitoring services of the business entity on which it is the most crucial part of the business activity.
Problem Statement
The business entity’s traditional system remains unchanged since the first day of operation of the business. The existing membership system cannot manage the continuous growth of customers and the monitoring of significant number of members in the venture. The present system was described as traditional and very manually operated system. These are the problems faced by the existing system of the business:
1. Informations are captured manually, which makes it hassle on the part of the management, as the business is growing with a significant number of members.
2. All information regarding the members is captured and these informations are stored in a single record book with no back up data as the cashier said. They rely heavily on that record book for the
