Should drivers of automobiles be prohibited from using cellular phones? Mobile phone use while driving is common, and extremely dangerous. Due to the number of accidents that are related to cell phone use while driving, some jurisdictions have made the use of a cell phone while driving illegal. Others have enacted laws to ban handheld mobile phone use, but allow use of a hands free device. In some cases restrictions are only directed to minors or those who are newly qualified license holders. Cellular phones have allowed people a convenience and luxury making communication so much easier. However when it comes to road safety cellular phone usage may be considered a hazard. Hence when talking on the phone your reflexes naturally become slower. Along with a naturally slower reaction the problem escalates because of the driver having only one hand on the wheel dramatically increasing the reaction time needed to avoid potential hazards. When involved in a phone conversation much of a drivers attention automatically becomes focused on the conversation instead of the road. Should that driver encounter a situation where he or she needs to make an unexpected swerve to avoid an upcoming accident the drivers reflexes would be slow to respond. Everyday driving is an activity that requires the full concentration of the automobile operator. The composing of text messages greatly increases the probability of an accident because to construct a text message the driver must type out the potential message that can range from a simple response such as “ok” to a message that contains 160 characters.
The invention of hands free cell phones still hinders the drivers performance are compromises the ability to avoid hazards. Distracted driving endangers life and property research of the current levels of injury and loss is mine blowing. Part of the problems is that people direct their attention to sound causing the visual capacity of the brain to decrease. There is no single solution to this challenge. The responsibility falls on the driver, the wireless companies as well as the government. Putting the brakes on distracted driving will require both dedication and creative thinking. Identify and seeking the development of innovative technology that could prevent or reduce the risk of distracted driving. Seven states have outlawed driver using handle held communication devices altogether. It’s impossible to accurately gauge how many car accidents are cell phones related. Using a cell phone is not all bad it gives you the convenience to make a call in times of emergency allowing you to keep in touch with family and friends.
Help you to find a location. Some phone allows the parent to know if their children are drive and talking or texting on the phone. The new phone has apps that warning the driver of the danger. So when using that wireless device remember all the danger that can come with it .
