Working as a medical assistant also requires a good amount of responsibility and maturity. A great attitude, being positive, smiling, and thankful attitude should follow the patient all the way to the checkout desk where they make payment and schedule their appointments. Although you might have to deal with multiple patients in your daily work, you should remember to focus your attention on the patient you are helping now. You should listen attentively to them in regard to their problems or concerns associated with their health. When answering a phone, you should start with a professional and polite greeting.
