Women serve has better leaders than men because women can multitask and men really cannot, for example some women have to cook dinner while helping their child with homework. Women also are better about remembering things, we remember birthdays, anniversaries, almost anything that is important, we remember. Men would not have life without women, and women would not have life without men, therefore the importance of both genders are mutually just as important as the other one. Gender roles are vastly different and society treats them differently as well. Society makes women believe that they can not live their life at all without a man constantly in it. Women also start to believe that they always need a man in their life to make them happy and keep them company. This leads to women having low self esteem and unhealthy relationships. Janie in “Their Eyes Were Watching God” shows women how much more important it is to be strong and independent rather than relying on other people.…

The equality amongst woman and men has changed in a major way throughout time. Woman in history were very often ignored and not rewarded for their achievements or for their hard work. Although woman couldn’t make big decisions in earlier times, many of them helped change the world and everybody’s perspective on the female gender. Queen Cleopatra VII helped change the view on woman in certain ways and proved to her people that she can rule Egypt as well as a male could have done it. And because these women had their minds set to prove everybody wrong, the world now has equality with men and women.…

The status of women throughout history has been in my opinion awful. They were known as caregivers and only caregivers and weren’t giving the opportunity to prove that they could do just as much as man for a long time. They were known as intellectually inferior to men and also a major source of temptation and evil. Women were not able to own any property, and widows could not remarry. Male children were always preferred over female children. They also had to walk behind their husbands. As time passed they came up with women rights which allowed women to do the same things men can do, at that time they were allowed personal and intellectual freedom and they mad significant achievements.…

Women today in 2016 couldn’t last two minutes living the life of a woman in the 1900s. 100 years ago, females were known as the weaker gender but more virtuous and were not allowed to do anything unless they had a husband. They didn’t have any rights, authority, or opinion about ANYTHING! It was illegal for women to do a lot of things, and here we are 100 years later, we can do whatever we want, when we want, however we want without anyone’s permission. To sum things up, a woman is her own boss and controls everything in her life. She can follow her dreams without anyone stopping her and a woman can make her own decisions. Everything…

Women of the Middle East have far been viewed as an oppressed group. From the desert sands of Saudi Arabia to the mountainous lands of Afghanistan, Arab women have faced many hardships in their society. While the role of a woman is meant to be nurturing and domestic, many have moved on to a more modern view, and have taken on the role as educators and laborers. Arab women threaten the traditional family structure by doing so; however, for many it is a sacrifice they are willing to make, as they see that the world has more to offer than just household chores and childbearing. A battle between culture and religion has arisen, as Islam allows women the right to education and a separate income from their spouse. And as Arab women continue to seek education and work, society's expectations hover over them, giving more strength to those who oppose such actions.…

For decades the female gender has been considered to be the lesser. In this paper, which has been compiled after going through many scholarly articles, it is factual that the female gender could easily pass as the most powerful influence on earth and the greatest contributor to the world economies. From the villages of Africa, Asia and Latin America, the woman has been used as the "beast of burden." Tilling the family land to put food on the table, bringing forth life and nurturing children, fetching water, carrying firewood, caring for the sick family members and the list goes on. This would definitely pass for a fulltime job. If the women were not present to take care of the social needs of society including raising children,…

Woman has always been over shadowed by the last three letters M-A–N. Women have been categorized and held bad back in some cultural, but in other cultural women were as equal to men. While exploring the different civilizations during the ancient history times (BCE to CE), the Babylonian women were to keep their sexuality sacred. As an Egyptian woman, women were considered to be equals to a man. As a Middle Eastern woman, women were considered to be ruled by husband but had their own property, slaves and jobs. A Chinese woman, they were not allowed to do much mainly respect and honor their husbands, birth a boy, and honor the mother-in-law. During ancient times women had different roles, lives and held many statuses in each civilization, regions, and eras. However, those roles and statuses may have changed now that we are in a different era.…

India and Pakistan have fought at least three wars over this territory and the problem refuses to be solved. The conflict in Kashmir seems like a conflict that would never have a resolution. Despite UN intervention, nothing has happened that would effectively end the conflict. It is also important to note that this conflict is something that our government would never wish to solve for the sole reason that this issue has over the years been the reason for their successful vote-bank politics in the region. The Collaborator highlights the way in which the conflict in Kashmir is staged for the Indian public. This serves to counter the Indian narrative of Kashmir’s irrefutable place within India by exposing the existence of propaganda and physical oppression aimed at ‘fixing’ Kashmir within the Indian imagination. The funereal tale of the obliteration of a community is deeply moving and profound, not only for the way it is written but because of the truth that one knows lurks within the…
