INTRODUCTION
A. BACKGROUND STUDY
Tourism is now widely recognized as the worlds largest and most diverse industry (Rogers, 1998; Rogers, 2003; Dwyer and Mistilis, 1999). Nowadays, tourism plays a major role in the world economy. In 2008, international tourist arrivals grew by 2%, to reach 924 million, 16 million more than in 2007 (UNWTO World Tourism Barometer, 2009 online). Moreover by 2020, the UNWTO forecasts up to 1.6 billion international tourist arrivals. It is one of the fastest growing industries and it is a primary source for employment and for generating foreign exchange (Page and Connell, 2006; Cooper et al., 2008).
Currently, the development of world exhibitions in Indonesia has a very experienced significant improvement. This is demonstrated by the many national and international exhibitions held in Indonesia It also could even become a trigger for the tourism industry, especially the field of MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) to grow.
The number of exhibition held in Indonesia, especially Jakarta every year is always to increase, based on data obtained number of exhibits in Jakarta, last 5 years is xxxxxxx
Event organizing exhibitions in Indonesia can be classified by type. The connection with the provision imposed by ASPERAPI (Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association) (2000:10) categorizes the types of exhibits by participants and target audience are as follows a. Consumers Event
It's about entertainment for the public as well as doing business or commonly referred to as Exhibit B2C (Business toConsumers). Concept (B2C) Business to Consumers described as a trade show dedicated to the buyer the final stage or end user in the sales volume is not too large.Trade Show
