Pro and Cons Team Work
Pro: A small number of people working as a team can accomplish more than the same people working individually.

Effective teamwork involves maximizing the strengths of a team

Con: Conflict, Because individuals often have different ideas about how tasks should be accomplished

Con: Passing the Buck * When someone is working alone, he is aware that if he doesn't do something it isn't going to get done. There is no possibility of passing the buck or waiting for someone else to take care of things. In a team, individuals who are lazy or unmotivated may not pull their share of the weight, preferring to wait for someone else to pick up their slack. This is a drawback of the team structure and highlights the fact that the success of a team is largely dependent on the character and motivation of its individual members.

When working as a team there may be problems that arise, like feedback from others may not always be taken positively which can cause issues in the work environment (Kreps, 2009). There are also times when someone may not finish their duties leaving it for someone else to do it for them. It can be hard for some to come to the same agreement and this creates problems in the work environment. Many of the people that I worked with did not want to work as a team they wanted to do everything on their own. We had to show the managers that we were working as a team, but when they were not looking over our shoulder many of the employees did what they wanted to. This makes things very frustrating, there are so many times when someone does not take work as serious as the next person and this creates more of a work load for those that do take their jobs…

Teamwork: Alone you can go fast and far, but together you can go further. Meaning that you may be able to get things done quickly, but after a while you will get tired easily. But together, the load is distributed among the members of a team, and we have many brains to help think of many kinds of solution to a problem to work out the problem, because the knowledge that your teammate has may not be what you have because there’s always a limit to what one person can only do. We also help to encourage each other and push each other to continue on the work, thus motivating your team members. “What matters is working with a few close friends, people you respect, knowing that if times did turn bad these people would hold together.”…
