Prince Maxon Shreave Character Analysis
I’ve been reading and sitting the whole time but Kiera Cass made me feel the ups and downs of the journey as whirlwind of challenges and obstacles hit me, leading me closer to the thoughts and sincerity of a candidate named America Singer, as she competes over the remaining girls to be the one and the only bride to the one who owns her heart, Prince Maxon. Though, the excitement goes one as America’s desire to win the competition is not just for her love for the Prince but the bravery to stand for what she believe and the willingness to take over the duties of a queen. The One completes the series as the characters, point of views, along with the flow of the plot gave me the excitement as it made its way to the end. The main lead named …show more content…
He is the Prince of Illéa and as the next heir, he is trained by his father the duties of a king. His character is something I admire for he is brave and responsible. Just like America, he is brave enough to face the problems of his people and think of possible ways on how to resolve them. Another reason why I admire him is because he is fair to all the other girls. Considering that it is a competition, he used different ways in getting to know each girls though he made sure that the time spent for each girls were equal. This technique of Prince Maxon would make the reader get hooked up on which among the girls will he choose and which among them would be out for the better. These are some characteristics of Prince Maxon in the story that caught my attention. Though, it is best to read the story more, for different good characteristics and flaws are mentioned in the story and there are situations that would make the reader burst out in …show more content…
It is about the burning love of two people, though feelings uncovered after different experiences and conflicts like the scenes of killings and violence which led the readers feel the rush and the madness and scenes of hopelessness which crushed the heart of each readers. It is also challenging for there are different tasks for the remaining girls where they can showcase their talents and each candidates’ stand in a given situation and show to the people how worthy they are to be the next queen of Illéa. The transition of scenes from one chapter to another is incredible but as it made its way to the end, I’m expecting a lot for the ending but it did not satisfy my expectations. The information of the ending is not in detailed and the transition towards the end is fast. Though, overall the scenes complement each

This story was very odd but was a good book. The fiction of this story is tied to reality in a very unique way, that is very effective in making the story not feel very fantasy. This feature made the book truly more enjoyable. Other writing techniques like not having any foreshadowing. The book keeps you guessing until the very end. Even within the story parts that I had never seen coming, Like releasing the prince. Allowing Alix to run away and eventually return on curiosity.…

Krakauer wrote that Chris McCandless was, "green, and he overestimated his resilience, but was sufficiently skilled to last for sixteen weeks on a little more than his wits and ten pounds of rice"(Krakauer 182). In this quote it seems that Krakauer thought that McCandless was well equipped with his skills, so that made moderately prepared to survive in any situation. I feel that McCandless was rather prepared, yet again he never could have been fully prepared for the unexpected. My opinion is that McCandless was vaguely aware of the struggles that he would encounter in the Alaskan wilderness such as his epiphany that "happiness is only real when shared" was realized when his body was dying of starvation. I believed that he found what he was…

The climax is presented in a mysterious ways. For example, Alaska’s death didn’t have much background information; Miles and Chip knew that the dean was unaware of the full story, just like them. Takumi, knowing that he wasn’t going to be there for graduation left a note in their room the day before describing everything that happened that day and why it played out that way. The conflict was plotted perfectly in the story. The climax was both melodramatic and calamitous. I enjoyed reading the conflict because it kept you attached to the book and the characters, you feel like you are witnessing the story yourself; it effects you a makes you ponder what would you do if you were in the same situation as Miles or Chip. I recommend the novel Looking for Alaska by John…

Troy Maxon represents a modern tragic character very well due this is fatal flaw, and downfall by the end of the play. Though he may not meet the requirement of being a character of nobility or of high class, all the other parts of the definition of a tragic character fit him very well. We see throughout the play that his authoritarianist behavior causes him to treat his family in a way that distances him from them. By the end of the story the tragedy ends with Troy dead, and without his family.…

“Everybody was finally equal.” This is what all people aspire to have, but true equality should never be attained. In the short story “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., the year is 2081 and the government has finally constructed their perfect world and made all its people equal. The government forcefully administers handicaps on those who are stronger and smarter than the average person. The character Harrison Bergeron passionately disagrees with this. “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut is about a fictional time in the future where everyone is forced to wear handicapping devices to ensure that everyone is equal. As the story begins, George and Hazel Bergeron are sitting on the couch watching television. George is intellectually superior so every few seconds a raucous noise is played in his ear to keep him from being able to hold a consistent thought, which happens continuously throughout the story. This system of “handicappers” is overseen by a rather unsympathetic woman named Diana Moon Glampers. As George and Hazel are watching a ballet on the T.V., the show is interrupted by a bulletin warning viewers that Harrison Bergeron, George and Hazel 's son, has just escaped from jail. Harrison is described as very dangerous, as well as very intelligent and strong, and “under-handicapped” despite the fact that he is fitted with a wide variety of contraptions meant to diminish his ability. This bulletin is interrupted by the appearance of Harrison himself who rushes onstage and removes his “handicappers,” while exclaiming his superiority. He challenges a ballerina to remove hers as well and, after convincing the band to play to the best of their ability, they launch into a superb display of dancing, leaping higher and higher until they touch the ceiling and kiss. At this point the “Handicapper General,” Diana Moon Glampers, rushes in with a shotgun and shoots them both dead. The story ends as George returns from the kitchen with a beer and finds Hazel crying, though neither can remember any of the events that had just unfolded. Vonnegut shows that efforts to force equality have tragic consequences.…

I chose choice 2 to write my essay about option .2. We are told in Act Two that Marshal Herrick is “somewhat shamefaced” upon entering the Proctor household. When chaining Elizabeth, he explains to John, “The law binds me, John, I cannot budge.” Clearly, he is a man uncomfortable with his assigned duty. Yet, he still performs the act out of respect for the chain of command. Is this the right thing to do? Is it more important to follow orders or to follow your own sense of right and wrong? Explain your answer with examples.…
