Good morning students, teachers, and principal of Cutler Ridge Middle School. It gives me great pleasure to give you a speech today on healthy lifestyle. You all should be honored to learn about these issues and how to live a longer life in this wonderful world. So, put on your thinking cap; try asking yourself, have I eaten a healthy diet lately? Have I gotten enough rest daily? Or I am performing a healthy lifestyle by exercising regularly? Your answer lies within yourself. If you don’t start off with some basic healthy habits. Then here are three points which I want to discuss to all of you are about the important of having a healthy lifestyle, ways to live healthy and benefit of having a healthy lifestyle.

Why are healthy lifestyles so important to us? This is because it can help us to avoid the disease and illness such as heart disease, type2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and some forms of cancer. Having a healthy lifestyle also makes the life become more enjoyable and the most important thing is a way to keep our body in good condition in order to do day to day tasks. When you having a healthy lifestyle in your future, it will make all of us have a healthy body and mind. It is also very important to have a healthy lifestyle because it will save your life in the future. By living a healthy lifestyle you will be fit and you able to do things that you have never done before.

In addition avoid eating too much sweet or salty food. Normally, these sweet or salty foods are not healthy food because of the excessive salt and sugar content in the food product. Nevertheless, after a prolonged period of time having such bad eating habits, it shall direct us to diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. It has been kid’s nature to love tasty food without having any healthy eating mindset. As we’re older, change our diet by cutting down on sugar and salt food products starting from today!     Eating habits have changed dramatically in mostly in children and teens. With all the sweets and saturated fats that’s in stores and the advertisement on T.V. they want more. If we, the parents, make better choices for our children then they will do the same. Kids copy their parents, so what you eat they will try. That means if you have unhealthy eating habits you will need to make a change for yourself and your children. A lot of healthy and unhealthy food are available in grocery stores. Some unhealthy foods include: sugary snacks, salty chips, soda, and carbohydrates. Healthy food such as: fresh produce, dairy products, eggs and many more healthy things. In my opinion, you can eat whatever you want just in moderation. Sweets are in the food pyramid too. So we need a little bit of everything. A little candy never hurt anyone. Not eating enough calories or eating too many calories can be harmful to the body. Some people develop eating disorders because they think they are too fat. Either they don’t eat at all or they regurgitate the food they did eat. This is called anorexia and can happen to anyone. Another disorder is called binge eating which is “an act of excessive or compulsive consumption of food”, says Webster dictionary. When this happens the person over eats and then feels guilty so they regurgitate. This is a very sensitive subject but if you or someone you know has this problem please seek medical help.…
