Power of a Dream
Introduction

I believe that everyone has dreams; someone want to be a soccer player; someone want to be a spaceman; someone want to have his/her own business. People have dreams is easy but I don’t consider most of them can achieve it; it is easy to talk but hard to do, how many people will achieve their dream? I don’t know about it as it is easy to give up and forgot, but I am sure some people will work hard with the dream. Nonetheless, some people are invariably struggling with the dream; when the dream is difficult to achieve by one person such as spaceman, they will join a team which has a same dream naturally. Whatever any dreams, it also will influence you and your team actually. In my opinion, the dream is like goal in the team, but it has some difference. Dream is that team members will do it voluntarily; goal is that team members need to do whatever you are voluntarily or not, so the dream can make the team more efficiency and the reason is people are heart and soul to do it. In the team, the power of dream can be managed easily; it reduces some team’s blight, like dissension, because team members understand that everyone wants to do something advantageous to the dream.

First, I will introduce the 5 specific objectives and they also have direct or indirect relationship with dream power. Second, I will answer the 3 main questions, those questions are about the power of dream in the team, and also I will compare the dream power team and the team without dream. Third, I will conclude the power of dream’s benefits and weakness.

Main questions:
Why we need the same dream in the team?
How the power of dream influences the team?
What will be changed with a dream power?
Those are basic questions in this topic and they will be explained how the dream of power can have a good effect in the team.
Specific objectives: Aims Co-operation Efficiency Skills Motivation
Body

Why we need the same dream in the team?
It is because the power of dream can bring the 5 specific objectives to the team, so I can use the 5 specific objectives to explain how the same dream is import.
I think every team also has some diffidence aims, some is easy to reach and some is not, but they only have one final aim, in here, I call it “dream”. When people are in the team, aims like a stairs and it is through to the dream, this is very important in the team because it will let people have a clear aim, and then people can confirm it anytime and will not lose easily.
If the dream is not easy to achieve by myself, team is a very useful choice in the process of dream. However, the team has different people to join it, although it has a same team, it sometimes has divergence. In this time, co-operation can solve this problem easily. Everyone share their idea or solution to solve, it will make the dream easier to be achieved. In the dream team, co-operation can have a good place to performance. A good co-operation is not easy to do with everyone, it is appeared between people who have tacit understanding. If the team have good co-operation, it will seems like the chemical reaction “1 + 1 ≥ 2” and make the team strong.
People do the work what is they feel interesting, they will like to continue with happiness, this is a law of nature, so they will keep going to discuss about it. In the same way, when we have a same aim in the team, we can make the work more efficiency, the reason is that we through the discussion to avoid the unnecessary work, we can always keep it directly to the aim. In my point of view, efficiency and interesting are direct ratio, how much interesting for the dream; how much efficiency to the dream, because interesting can arouse people the creative and good ideas, they can help people to work more efficiency , it means that the interesting can became efficiency, it will make the dream to be more wonderful.
We can create some new skills from the good ideas; good ideas are some thinking, it is not useful in the real world, so we need to use them to become some skills. Actually, skills can be used in the real world and make the process of dream more efficiency, because skills can be taught and learnt by people, it means that skills can be universal.
Therefore, people can enhance the skills and efficiency to achieve the dream. For example, NASA is uninterrupted to develop some new skill or technology for spacemen, when they have new skill, they will let spacemen to learn and use it in the space.
Motivation is a starting point for everything such as dream, it leads people step by step to achieve the dream. Why do people want to achieve their dream? It is because they look forward to the dream, they will not have a detail plan and always do first, they don’t think too much as they know that they are waiting for a motivation to lead them achieve the dream.

How the power of dream influences the team? Also, this question is related with the 5 objectives. Aims are the basic in the team. Imagining a no aims team, do you think the team will be successful? I don’t think so because it is like a person who is without soul, it just a puppet. Therefore, aims can attract people to join the team and also it is the team energy, it can push the team go far. Co-operation is the most direct influencing in the team, many team work need co-operation, so the dream power can bring a good co-operation to the team. In the dream power team, team members are active to do the co-operation and have a positive effecting. No one want to do to the individual work as they have members can trust and depend on; in the same reason, nobody will join the team without co-operation, we can see the influencing of the co-operation in the team. For example, a band need a singer, bass, guitar and drums; they need to do a good co-operation and they can create a good song, such as follower the beat, the sound of the voice, if here are without anyone, the song will be had a defect and it is an imperfect song, so the co-operation is like the link, it can combine everyone and have different combination, it is I have talked at the on the top the formula: “1 + 1 ≥ 2”, it is very wonderful.
I think efficiency is about the attitude, when people are in the same dream team, they will change the attitude for seeking the dream, it is active to do that, not someone gives you the pressure and make you change, this is very important to the team, because it means that you will do it with full power, day by day to do that, you are enjoying to do the work, so it will become more efficiency and easy. Try to imaging, when you are doing a boring job, your attitude will become lazy, passive, I think this attitude is waste the time and no one can be success. I remember that someone says “attitude decides everything”, it is easy to show us how the attitude is important. Therefore, the attitude can influence the efficiency, when you have brave to seeking the dream, the attitude will become more active, and it can influence the working process.

I think everything also needs some skill to that, article has writing skills, running has running skills. However, how it can be appeared and what is the function? In my point of view, skill is through the accumulating the experience to be appeared; when you do the same work 100 times, 10000 times, you will find out a faster or easier skill to do that, it can improve the working efficiency. Also, when someone collects the similar type skills, it will become the new technology, so in the dream team, the skill will influence the work speed. Only one have skill is not work, so they can share or teach the skill to everyone in the dream team, it will like a snow ball to rolling more and more big, finally, it will become a new weapon to help to solve the problem.
The motivation is the basic for the 5 specific objectives, because the motivation is the first step to do anything. In here, motivation has two explanations: one is the seeking dream, it is because a lot of people have dream, but a lot of people give up the dream also, only have a little bit people can insist the dream, so they have the first motivation to do the dream; another one is in the dream process, they need to follow the first motivation and make more motivation to achieve the dream.

What will be changed with a dream power?
Dream power can change the life. If you compromise with the real, you will not achieve the dream in your life; you must have braving to do the first step and you will have opportunity to touch it.
For example, Justin Bieber, he is an international super star. I think no one will not know him, his song is very popular in the world; a lot of people are jealous of him because he is a young boy and his boss is Usher. However, how many people know his effort for achieve his dream. His dream is to be a singer, he has a lot of training for the singer at childhood, such as dance, singing. He uses much time to do the training day by day, so he can surprise show for us; he cooperates with Usher and make he well known; so we can use the 5 specific objectives to describe him. Aim: singer; co-operation: make song with Usher; efficiency: put the video on the YouTube; skills: training; motivation: be a singer. This is a very successful example for everyone, he told us what is “never say never”. (ALEJO, 2011)
From this case, we can know the dream power can change the life, and also the dream is hard to achieve, may be need a long time to waiting the flower to open, but if you don’t try, you will never have chance to touch the dream.

However, please don’t think this example is the individual dream power, it is also a team dream power. His boss provide a very good team to him, all of them are direct to the same dream “Let Justin Bieber become a super star”. When they have a same dream and do the 5 specific objectives well, they show us their dream is to be achieved.
I read an article, in there has some sentences is useful for the team leader. “Organizations can shape their employees' dreams; and when the dreams are exciting and the odds are believable, employees will dramatically increase their investments in making them come true. Conversely, when the dreams are mundane and lack credibility, employees disconnect and pull back on their investment.” (Ashkenas, 2012)
We can see the main point is not the dream can achieve or not at the final, the main point is the dream can give them how much expectation, if they think it is high, they will put more time and money to invest it. From here, we can see the dream power can change the work attitude.

From other example, Rana, he is an actor. He wants to be a successful actor, so he is not conceal his dream for others, he ignore people laugh him or not, he just want to be a successful actor. He has no a handsome face, he has no the fit body, but he has a insist heart, finally, people accepted his splendid performance, and he will have good character in the Hollywood. Although he achieves his dream but he has no change because he also insists to be a successful actor. He has no change for himself, but others are changed the evaluation to him. (Leader's 'Mega Power' dreams, Unknown) From the three examples, we can see they have difference changed, but whatever any change to themselves, their life is changed by them.

Conclusion The dream of power is a big power, you may be similar to everyone, how can make you to be different? The answer is you achieve the dream or not.
Why we need the same dream in the team?
How the power of dream influences the team?
What will be changed with a dream power?
This three questions can easy to answer, but do you know the inside meaning? I think it is more important to answer.
For individual, the power of dream can let you become more different; for the team, it can make the team more efficiency; for the leader, it can increase the team quality, you need to always the team members “what is your dream?” because people will put the dream in the first, so the team need to have the same dream. (Robinson, 2012)
In here, I want to add something, please don’t let your team members follow your dream, you should let people who have a same dream with and let them join into the team. The leader should create a unique work environment to the team members and let them use their creative to do the work. (Sturman, 2002)
Dream is hard to achieve, but why everyone has dream also? It is because they dream they can be successful, this is the power of dream. You can make a team with the dream, and find people who also have the same dream, and then do the power of dream!

An Analysis of Dreams by Timothy Findley "We are such stuff as dreams are made on" (Shakespeare The Tempest) perhaps most accurately sums up the human fascination with their own dreams. Fleeting, transitory, and possessing their own reason, these strange passes of fancy strike attention and draw importance to themselves. In Timothy Findley 's short story "Dreams", the human obsession with, and dependence upon, dreams is taken up in detail. The story can be seen as symbolic in its entirety, with each aspect of the story representing some true part of life.…

    Dream Fulfillment Theory

Dreaming can be fun or scary for some people, but it can also reveal interesting underlying internal issues that people would otherwise be unaware of. The tricky part about dreams though, is that it can be difficult to remember them. I for example rarely do, and when I do, I remember them as if they were a slideshow. However, there is one dream that stands out to me because it has been a reoccurring one since childhood. In this dream, I am working in a factory organizing boxes that are on a conveyer belt. At first it is easy but when the pace picks up, I struggle to keep up with the boxes. The chaos leads me to feel overwhelmed and wake up in a moment of panic, with symptoms of a panic attack. This dream has occurred numerous times, but sometimes there are slight changes, as if it is adapting to what is going on in my life at the moment. While this has always been a bizarre nightmare to me, through the use of Sigmund Freud's Wish Fulfillment Theory and the information processing theory, I have been able to gain a deeper understanding of it.…

    I Have a Dream Analysis

Martin Luther Kings’ speech does not have a uniform tone. The speech begins with a disheartening and accusing tone, shown by using two different phrases to express the same meaning: ‘five score years’ and ‘one hundred years’. Even though the two phrases both mean a hundred years; ‘five score years’ seems to have a much shorter time span than ‘one hundred years’; as if the date when the Emancipation Proclamation was signed is still vivid in minds, but after a hundred years, a long period of time, the proclamations’ intension is still not fulfilled, thus conveying a sense of accusation and disappointment. King then used the repetition of ‘one hundred year later’ to culminate the solemn and empathetic mood the audience experience. ‘crippled’ emphasizes that segregation and discrimination are like manacles and chains that literally handicapped Negros’ lives, but it also has the connotation to call on sympathy for the suffering Negros. The contrast employed in ‘lonely island of poverty’ and ‘vast ocean of material prosperity’ visualized the inequality in the society.…

Descartes arguments in meditation I can be proven wrong through discrepancies and contradictions. Authors Peter Simpson and Ludwig Wittgenstein's have similar points on skepticism where they have found specific inconsistencies. When primarily looking at Descartes’ dream argument we can see a contradiction in his statements. He sets out to demonstrate the similarity between “waking” and “dreaming”. His intention was to prove that there is no difference between the two, and that we could be seeing false deceptions and or possibly hallucinating. Therefore there would be no way to prove the differences between “dreaming” and “waking”. But when looking at his arguments there are a few points that contradict his own theories.…

In Stephen King’s essay, “The Symbolic Language of Dreams”, King describes some of the ways dreams have helped him with his writing. I read about all the things that King dreamed about. He dreamed about all kinds of unrealistic things and he consciously put these dream stories into his writings. I think this method of creative writing is crazy, but I agree with it. I like the idea of using the ability that every person in the world has; creative imagination through a dream. I agree with King’s methods and admire his effective use of his own dreams.…
