Welcome to the Academic Information Website of Agricultural Engineering in Central Luzon State University. The main purpose of the site is to provide relevant information and tools for prospective and current agricultural engineering students of the Central Luzon State University.
THE AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM @ CLSU
The Department of Agricultural Engineering traces its beginnings with the then Central Luzon Agricultural School (CLAS). It used to offer a secondary Farm Mechanics course.
In June 1955, five years after the school was elevated into the Central Luzon Agricultural College (CLAC), the department was expanded to include the offering of a 4-year degree program in Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering (BSAEn). Four years later, in 1959, this curricular program was revised into a 5-year BSAEn program.
In 1964, CLAC was converted into what is now known as the Central Luzon State University (CLSU). With this development, the College of Engineering was established and through its Department of Agricultural Engineering, the training of human resources vital to the development of the country’s agricultural engineering sector continues.
In 1954, by virtue of Republic Act No. 1174, the Graduate School was created. The graduate program was initially handled by the Graduate and Research Department and then later by the Graduate School. It was in 1979 when it became the Institute of Graduate Studies (IGS).
The IGS is engaged in the provision of advanced instruction and the promotion of research and development work in agriculture and related sciences in its continuing search for truth and upgrading sciences and technology for sustainable development and global competitiveness.
The IGS offers graduate programs in coordination with various concerned colleges and their departments. In the case of the graduate programs in Agricultural Engineering, the IGS is in close partnership with the College of Engineering (CEn), particularly its Department of

California Polytechnic State University was first established as California Polytechnic School on March 8, 1901. The school was renamed to California Polytechnic State College in 1947, but wasn’t officially known as California Polytechnic State University until 1972. The driving force that led to the founding of the school was a local journalist named Myron Angel. The school was established with the purpose of furnishing students of both sexes through mental and manual training in the arts and sciences. On October 1, 1903 the first classes were held and the school accumulated an enrollment of 20 students. In the first few years of its opening, the school offered a secondary level course of study that required three years to complete; however, in 1912 the amount of years required was increased to four years.…

In 1987, LAC was given responsibility to generate the agricultural technologies for additional four hill districts of Gorkha, Lamjung, Tanahun and Syangja, as part of the then World Bank funded Hill Food Production Project (HFPP). In 1989, LAC became part of the then National Agricultural Research and Services Centre (NARSC), now the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC), and was designated as the Regional Agricultural Research Centre (LRARC) for the WDR, with responsibility for technology generation for eight hill districts, the seven given above, plus Baglung District. In 1993, under a NARC reorganization, the Wheat Research Station at Bhairahawa was designated as the Regional Centre, and Lumle reverted to the status of an Agricultural Research Centre, becoming known as Lumle Agricultural Research Centre (LARC). In July 1995, the responsibility for extension activities was handed-over to the Department of Agriculture Development (DoAD), the Department of Livestock Services (DoLS), and the Department of Forestry (DoF). Palpa, Gulmi and Arghakhanchi were added to LARC's Research Command Area which covered 18,500 km2 and 360,000 farming households. Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education is one of the programs being offered in Laguna University. In line with this, the BSEd-offers three (3) subjects for majoring the course, these subjects are Mathematics, English and Biology. With this, these Department imposed qualifications for freshmen BSEd students in order to know who are fit enough for the profession. The qualification was implemented to maintain the department’s “above par” performance based on the National Standards mandated by the Commission on the Higher Education. However not all students are lucky enough to pass the qualifications. Those who failed were advised to shift to another course. On the other hand shifting does not guarantee success, the process of shift5ing itself is a challenge with shifting exams, interviews and the thought of not making the cut on their previous course will be stressful. But the implication can be more of a struggle, a struggle to adapt a new world as they enter a new world.…
