Community is defined as a group of people who live in the same place or have a particular characteristic (Nelson & Prilletensky, 2005). Through this course, I have learnt that in community work community action, community development, social planning, community organisation and service extension are vital elements of community theory. I participated in community work as I engaged in educational non-profit mission in Korea community to improve the quality of education in primary schools. Based on my own practice, I realized that helping local people should be more effective, usable and accessible to the plan and initiatives. The community work function is recognised a part of professional practice of teachers, social workers, the clergy, health workers, architects, planners, administrators and others (Criaig 2008). White (2003) insists that the use of specialist community workers is a strategy that fulfils fundamentally educational or learning process. For making service more effective, the role of workers and the advance of specialist workers in planning are emphasized away from educational position (White 2003). I have served as a professional development facilitator, sharing demonstration lessons, offering workshops on various teaching strategies, and coaching student teachers. I shared opinions and information with others and provided input, which allowed me to equip myself in on my areas for need and identify next steps in obtaining the proper support for my community work. I felt the lack of resources, however, it was relieved immediately, I reached out to various local organizations along with people who would be able to assist me. This ‘Institute on service learning’ that I engaged with has combined with another community serve “ like thinkers” and gave me a chance to be exposed to plenty of resources. This also taught me service-learning and education for sustainability of community. This practice provided more examples through reading and
