    The product that most deserves to be introduced into the market is the self charging battery. There have been several variations or attempts on producing such a device, but none have quite made the jump into common everyday purchases made by consumers. The setbacks have been price, desire and practicality. Many people will not pay $20.00 for a battery to stick into a five dollar product. Rechargeable batteries have had a little more success, although those too get lost, cost more and cost money to recharge. Manufacturers do not want to go out of business so development of this type of product has not found adequate funding. Many too are not practical. Like the solar powered self charging battery being used in some cell phones. Nice idea, but impractical as one may be in a call and lose their charge for their phone. Now instead of putting in another battery or plugging into the nearest wall socket (which either may not be available), you simply need to take it out and let it charge under the sun…for 30 minutes to make your next call. There are several features that this outline will demonstrate the superior performance, durability and quality of these batteries in a very competitive market. The self charging battery we will offer requires no electrical outlet for recharging, it sounds an alarm when low to start the recharging cycle and it is designed to replace all standard battery types at an economical cost.…

    The history of electrisity leads right back to more than two thousand years ago. Ancient Greeks discovered that rubbing fur on amber caused an attraction between the two. Many electricity-related discoveries had been made by the 17th century, including the differentiation between negative and positive currents, the classification of matireals as conductors or insulators , and the invention of the of a basic electrostatic generator. Continuing on to 1600’s, William Gilbert, an English Physician, connected the term electic with the force that certain substances create when rubbed against another. In 1800 Alessandro Volta invented an early electric battery he called a Voltaic pile. This produced a steady electric current, and this lead to the discovery that particular chemical reactions created electricity. Only once Michael Faraday created the ‘Faraday disk’ (the first power generator) along with the theory of Electromagnetic induction [1](“Faraday's Law, discovered in 1831 by Michael Faraday, states that the induced electromotive force in a closed circuit is equal to the time rate of change of the magnetic flux through the circuit. Under Faraday's Law, electric current is induced only if either the magnetic field is changing or the conductor is moving.     Over the next decade, the most vibrant Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) markets will involve the contactless charging of portable and mobile equipment, in particular consumer electronics and electric vehicles. Today, development teams worldwide are stretching the boundaries of physics using available components to create systems that are able to compete with the efficiencies of wired solutions while offering the conveniences of wire free connections. In the 1890's famous scientist and engineer Nikola Tesla dreamt of wireless transfer of power. He envisioned a world, in which all electricity is transferred wirelessly, but the idea was more or less abandoned and highly efficient copper cables became the basis for modern electricity infrastructure. Then, a few years ago, Marin Soljačić, an assistant professor of physics at MIT, was dragged out of bed by the insistent beeping of a cell phone. In his exhausted state, he wished the phone would just begin charging itself as soon as it was brought into the house. So, Soljačić started searching for ways to transmit power wirelessly. Soljačić found magnetic resonance a promising means of electricity transfer because magnetic fields travel freely through air yet have little effect on the environment or, at the appropriate frequencies, on living beings. Working with MIT physics professors John Joannopoulos and Peter Fisher and three students, he devised a simple setup that wirelessly powered a 60-watt light bulb. The MIT work has attracted the attention of consumer-electronics companies and the auto industry. The U.S. Department of Defense, which is funding the research, hopes it will also give soldiers a way to automatically recharge batteries.…

    This study aims to make an improvised traveling charger that will use heat or waste heat to charge a battery. It is not new to us that we are lacking for the supply of the electricity and being in the modern times, we can’t live without cell phones and how does we able to charge the battery if there’s no supply of electricity. The researcher used scrap materials that can be easily found. They used copper and iron plate, some adhesives copper wires and the normal traveling charger to construct the device. This device would be attached to the normal traveling charger. The researchers used two tests to prove if the device is working or not. First is they measured the current being produced by the device. The amount of current being measured is 2000mA. Next, the researchers directly test the device by charging a battery. Blue and red lights blinking with yellow lights appear in the charger that means that it is charging. The researchers conclude that it is possible to have a device that can used to charge cell phones battery though not fast as the normal traveling charger.…
