Political Socialization Paper Examples
Political socialization begins at home when we hear conversations, culture, and traditions. In this way is how we understand and form our own political ideas. Another factor of information is media. Media is very important to pass the information and to receive messages or political announcements. We have access to television, radio, newspaper and social media. Internet and social media would be one of the principles in these times because social networks are fast by passing information. In addition, school can be another place where you can learn about politics but in my personal opinion, I believe that school no longer talks much about political issue due to different cultures and diversity. In my case, I do not remember in my family talked about the political issue, just my father went out to vote. I was raised in Mexico and I think it is different to United States. I do not know much about politics but I try to read and be informed to vote in the elections. Political ideology is the ideas and opinion of individuals, social groups or social classes. I consider myself Mexican and as Hispanic, I understand what families suffer when they cross the border and live in the county as illegal.
