PLEASE REMEMBER by P.S. Walker

P. S. Walker wants the reader to think twice.
To think about what you are about to do, beacause teasing, name calling, and ridiculing can really hurt another human.
The poem is maybe about a person, who have lost someone in a school massacre.
He dont want it to happen to someone else, and therefore he is asking us to think twice.

Ore it is written by someone who is parent to a child, who has been involved in a school shooting.
I think the message of the poem is, that you shouldn’t pick on people before knowing them and the consequences of it. People get hurt when they are teased and not treated nice. They can get in psychological imbalance and react by hurting other people. Often they end up taking their own life. A lot of people is getting hurt and their lifes is ruined.
Treat people like you want to be treated yourself.PLEASE REMEMBER by P.S. Walker

Also the poem relates to the book “ The Outsiders” because of all of the people in all the groups they are all mean to each other and everything. And when some one in the group gets hurt it hurts all the other people, all the people in the groups are so close they are all like family to each other. They also treat each other like family and they help people out as best as they can. When one of them are in need they are always there for…

Half of the poem is about the relationship between the father and daughter, while the other is about her surroundings and the scenery. She would talk with her father, and then would go into detail about the neighbors or workers that were outside; this gibes you a good visual of what she was seeing along with what her situation was with her father. The father starts telling the daughter what he feels as he is dying. The girl responds sarcastically, I said I was glad for him, that he was lucky (Gluck 319). In response, her father felt weakness and…

The poem fades out with the lyrics of the Singing Boy’s life. “You spook, you punk, you coon in green grass you lie in vainyou die too too too you slain under alabaster moon too-soon too-soon too-soon.” These lines summarize what the poem is about; an unnecessary, unreasonable death of a young man with his entire life ahead of him.…

But I can pretty much understand the gist of the poem. It is just the last line that gets me, "What the river says, that is what I say." It's haunting almost chilling to me to read that. Shivers seriously run down my spine when I read that. So, from the poem, I basically get the vibe it is saying, the speaker has had a long life full of, love, hurt, pin, heartbreak etc, but ask him anything about his past or anything and he isn't ashamed of it. He will proudly answer to anything and take responsibility for what he has caused and what he's been through.…

The message this poem is trying to convey is about the cruelty of humans, with the lynching mobs and the Ku Klux Klan. It tells us about human intolerance towards different people, of our prejudices, as if slavery hadn´t ended and we stil thought of black people as good only for work and serving people, like animals. It tells us about the way humans treat things they fear or don´t understand, controlling them and keeping them chained. It also makes us think about how we behave towards other people, and gives us hope because things have changed.…

The main thing about this poem is its theme, and that theme seems to portray one of someone who most likely has depression, or something of the sort. The reason it may possibly be seen as true is the wording Nono-footballic used in line number 4, where it says, “Crack a joke to reassure them you are fine.” That line ties in well with “Make up a lie” from line number 2. These both tell that they would rather keep to themself on what they feel than burden anyone with their emotional problems. This could be proven by line number 8 and the words, “Lock yourself up in the bathroom and cry.” They’re saying they isolate themself from everyone else so they can let their emotions out.…

The structure of the poem consists of three different components; the first section describes the anxiety of a bombing mission. The second describes targeting the area and the third, describes flying home. This type of poem is a ballad. The poem is unique because it explains in detail, what would have happened over a series of minutes. Each stanza has its own effect, the third and forth stanzas are longer to produce the effect that when your about to die time slows down. The poem flows with rhythm all the way through it. It is a very anxiety filled piece and shows how people are affected by war.…

This represents the lost in the poem and what people are subconsciously thinking everyday. Lines 1 and 2 epitomize this meaning because it says, "Even when I forget you I go on looking for you." This leads on to how life is symbolized in the poem as well. People go their whole lives not realizing they are lost and need time to themselves to become the person they have the potential to be. Some follow behind others and are just a copy of the person next to them, in effect they are not their own person and the things they do are not of their true choice. This symbolism is conveyed in the last two lines as it says, "What they say you who are not lost when I do not find you." In conclusion you are not truly living life if you are not living as yourself and as the…

It is about two people who have a lot in common but are too afraid to show their true colors. They looked for other people that were like them and they finally passed by each other and never knew that they were exactly alike. They were not being true to themselves therefore they missed out on an amazing encounter. The message I received from this poem is to always be true to yourself; never try and be someone else because you are unique and there are people who are looking for your unique personality. By being yourself you can be truly happy and find the people that are meant to be in your…
